He just came in to chat.... Probably was bored... I asked him about some of what he did on the TOS episode: "Obsession", and what Lt. Leslie's first name was.... Click For Spoiler Frank :( After that, I tried re-enacting the Spanish Inquisition scene with my multiple usernames, but no one got the references.... :( LurkingPenguin says it's because no one expects the Spanish Inquisition. At that time, I was missing my 1st encore of The Prisoner, but I got to talk to Janie and Lt. Leslie. Dear me, it's been awhile since there's been an AOSTF.net short-story... I'll be looking forward to an addition to it, or maybe to Immortal Wanderings. :( Ooooh, time for another Random Moment: Click For Spoiler Jack the Ripper contains 13 letters... Hmmmmm....... Deanna_Troi_Fan_Lizzy is requesting a list of Star Trek: Voyager and Star Trek: Enterprise episodes... Shouldn't be too hard to search through one of the several episode guide upon the informational highway... :( I'll probably make it anyways, since I feel being helpful is best... :( My review of The Prisoner episode: "The General"... Click For Spoiler 'Twas very good. :o No Rover scenes though... :o But we do get to see one of those 1960s supercomputers! :o If one is following the episodes in chronological order (I know not all things go from cause and effect in that way...), the General was mentioned by the No.2 in the episode: "The Schizoid Man". There is also another interesting thing introduced... Click For Spoiler Speed Learn... Seemingly created by the Professor, this involves compressing three years of thorough complex schooling in the matter of only three minutes... Impossible you say? "Improbable" is more like the word you'd be choosing when being trapped in the Village... This speed learn, thought to the Villagers to teach past history, will be use to feed in information into their heads via their intricate sublimable messages.... No.6 tried to halt this, but, as so many previous occassions... He fails... :) Well, I guess that's good enough of a review..... It's not great, but just my thoughts... It's the TV show I enjoy the most often now-a-days... Well, it's getting mighty humid here, and nothing else to tell you, besides me having saw "Damage" on Star Trek: Enterprise.... Not dwelling on my dislikes of yesterday (which came suddenly), I was disconnected much of the day... Ergo, I missed out on Trivia.  I blame it on the residual bad luck from the day before, since I spent it like a holiday, therefore the bad luck happened to me the day after.... (Assuming luck exists... Maybe it was just bad karmic levels...) Good thing was that I had not spended much of it awake, and used it to sleep out the sleepless nights of the other days... Since I can't speak much on yesterday, today, I did a couple things, and so far it has been a plusgood day for me. Chatted with good friends. Some on Alien Versus Predator and Godzilla movies with darthhappy and a little with mikehines01, and on a few other subjects with Indy, she_wolf, Weareborg4102, and Tal Shiar 8472. (Hopes he mentioned everyone....) Before that, I watched Chapter One of The Phantom Empire serials... Chapter One: The Singing Cowboy... OK, so it was somewhat about singing cowboys... But the rest of it revolved around the Scientific City of Murania... A lost civilization dwelling underground since the last ice age, and they canna breath thee air of the surface... Thus their breathing units... Although the ride horses, probably since it's kinda a sci-fi western... Hey, it was 1935. They also had robots with peculiar looking hats... I'll get my review for Mission Hill done first... Pretty short though, so not much time wasted here... Click For Spoiler "Planet 9 from Mission Hill"... Revolving around Kevin French's discovery that old films are better than some of today's sci-fi films... ( Why do people fail to recognize much of the older films are better?? ) This, in turn, leads to the discovery of Wally's only directed film: The Man from Pluto... A grade-Z sci-fi film made around 1958 about the U.S. using Pluto for nuclear weapon target-practise... Some nice sci-fi references, but it seems Kevin is an idiot, since he has never heard of 2001: A Space Odyssey... I mean, who has never heard of that movie? It's a much famous sci-fi film.... Since Earth is overpopulated (like it always has been), the United Space Agency sends out an expedition to the Earth-like planet they name: Annex One... Only difference is that it has no night, and if you're unlucky enough, you'd get caught in the usual rain of radioactive isotopes... This happened to a Mr. Reese Fowler... Advantage he earned by this mistake: Some Bug-Eyed Monster's (B.E.M. , okay... But they were really weird.. ) eyes, and the ability to read people's minds... Click For Spoiler Um.... Yeah... ^_^ Oh, I forgot to mention, should he touch you, you get blown to minute bits, since he's charged up on trillions of radioactive ions... -_- Click For Spoiler They had some ant that looked like that one from "The Zanti Misfits", but it was more realistic since it didn't try to mimic a human's face... He later dead of darkness, since Annex One was a world of light... My it's humid here... -_- As for the Duckman, being retold by Cornfed, Duckman was stuck in a repition of Hamlet (as the episode's name suggests)... Well, I think that's about it for right now.... I finished that list of Deep Space Nine episodes for Lizzy.... Click For Spoiler I just went down to TV Tome... Besides this typing this, I'm awaiting for today's episode of Sliders... I think SciFi is showing the Season 4 episodes for right now. I think I'll write up a review later on possibly... Or not, depends on certain factors... I found a couple interesting things concerning 1984, Nineteen Eighty-Four, and the various other subjects related to Orwell's creation... Before today, I was very very much tired, and my computer was riddled with a couple connection problems... It's doing better now though. Hmmmm, Sman's idea for an animated series where I be Inspector Gadget and some miscellaneous moderator is Dr. Claw seems odd... His idea anyways... Also yesterday, I got to see a fairly good episode of Sliders called: "Roads Taken". Click For Spoiler When sliding into a "parallelity" (I borrow that term from an Alan Dean Foster novel) where the president of Mexico thinks it best to try to win back Mexico from the United States.... This later becomes simply the background of what is to become the main plot, which is, for some odd reason, Maggie Beckett and Quinn Mallory are dying from old age... Without actually being old, or becoming old, but dying from the effects of it... For some reason, their consciousness is trapped in a bubble universe where the two get married, and eventually have a son (named Thomas Mallory), who becomes a transdimensional journeyman... Maybe it's a bit hard to explain... The bubble universe ceases to be, and Thomas unexists, although Quinn and Maggie retain the memories of that alternate universe... Over all, it was a good episode. Ah, they have the episode: "Journey to Babel" on now. :) Scene is where Sarek and Amanda come aboard the Enterprise... T.A.R.D.I.S. Log: 20 August 2004 A.D., Friday 21.11 PST Earthican-time... | ...emit-nacihtraE TSP 11.12 Just saw another fantastic episode of The Prisoner! Since it, recently, has become one among the list of favourite TV shows of mine, I'll get the review out of the way with. Click For Spoiler 'Twas the episode: "Many Happy Returns". Starting out on a slow but good-n-steady march, progressing to a nicely speeding projectile, this episode starts out with No.6 awaking... To a completely deserted Village... Where are the prisoners? Where are the warders? Where did Rover go? (He doesn't appear in this episode either... Maybe budget cuts, perhaps? ) Taking advantage of each opportunity that is given, No.6 takes use and flees this seemingly abandoned land, upon his hand-made log-raft... Click For Spoiler No.6: After many days, sailing, journeying... Escaping... From the hands of the myserious and secretive Village... Only to be brought back to where he started from all over again... After hijacking a German patrol boat, and much other journeying... No.6 makes it back to where he last lived. London... Thing have been changed since his departure... Information of his being snatched out from society and flung into the mysterious hands of the Village seem to be unremembered here... The great thing about this episode is that the location of this Village is seemingly revealed, and bits and pieces of No.6's past are revealed.... A very good twist ending, as always, but this one was one frell of a surprise. Finishing up the episode "The Forgotten" [ENT #72], my mind seemed a bit drained of ideas now that I've spent it focus on the episode of The Prisoner I watched earlier... Was speaking with master_q earlier, told him a bit on The Prisoner, he told me about the forthcoming Halloween trivia session ( ), and he also gave me a link to where I can listen to ham-radio operators. B) I shall listen to it later on... Need my silence now. Oh my, resorting to eating ice... ...Anyways, I had fun in the chat room today, although I got a bit sick today, which is the downside of this nicely uplifting Friday... A game of Truth or Dare in the chat room resulted me eating a bit of coffee, holding my breathe for a minute, and going into spin-mode for 1.20 minutes... But I've been doing good. I also have the entire August schedule for TOS finished. :P *Look below (im)mortal one* I have typed up the list of when TOS will show on SciFi Channel for this month...Click For Spoiler TOS on Channel...For the month of August... DrWho42 13 Posted August 21, 2004 Have a nice weekend 253738[/snapback] Thank you, We'reBorg. The SciFi.com Schedulebot isn't a good schedule in my personal view... I have a list of the various marathons for next week, though... But I won't post them, unless someone requests them.. Happy week-ends to you, and anyone else who reads this... DrWho42 13 Posted August 22, 2004 The Days The Doctor Dwells In... Click For Spoiler Phase IIWithout explanation, a great ice descends over the city of New York with the speeds of an express train... :o ..:[ Amazing Stories, Vol. 3-No.10 (Released in: January 1929 A.D.) ]:.. T.A.R.D.I.S. Log: 22 August 2004 A.D., Sunday 8.42 PST Earthican-time... | ...emit-nacihtraE TSP 24.8 Hehe, I'm certainly in the mood for older science-fiction... (Or should I say: scientification.. :) ) Be searching through the website of Tales of Future Past... It's a great website by-the-way. :( It taught me that the robot Elektro has a dog... Which I did not know at first! And also, the Futurama 1964 of that year's World's Fair features a house that looked a bit like the subterranean home in the 1967 Italian film of Danger: Diabolik (they showed that movie for the last episode of Mystery Science Theatre 3000).... That, or Tracy Island from the Thunderbirds... I really really want to read the science-fiction pulp magazines before the 1950s... But I guess I'll have to settle for the time when the magazines started dying, and books began to increase in that genre... It would be neat if I were able to find a website on Amazing Stories, Science Wonder Stories, and etc... Oh yeah, I found this website that focuses upon Atomic War in Fiction, I read a few bits, but the night was growing long... I'll be trying to get a post done for Neri's (aka Neroli-Chasser here.) RPG on the U.S.S. Pyramid... I play the Andorian science-officer. :cool1: Hehe, in the chat room yesterday, we role-played a bit (it kinda got nonsensical after Scarletfire started trying to throw Prometheus_nova in the brig...). First it was heading to Romulan space, then it was a mission on destroying the NX-01 (kinda shows you how much Captain Scarlet likes Enterprise... ), then it was steering the ship into a black-hole, and acting out the last ten-minutes of our lives... I was the Redshirt, named Ensign Samwise Canonfodder... We made a bit of fun with Scarletfire's name.... :) Captain Scarlet.... :) And the Mysterons! Click For Spoiler Well, I guess that's as much as I can remember... Although I did have a dream where I was trying to escape from an exploding copying machine from this one office building that had odd-looking experimental elevators... Oh yeah, and today, I talked to Jim_Phaserman, Angel, Lizzy and Scarlet (who I call by her first name)... I'll be looking for more sites on ghosts and hauntings later, perhaps... Will write some more later... Be Seeing You. The Days The Doctor Dwells In... ...nI sllewD rotcoD ehT syaD ehT To Be Continued......
