Ok...Back In The Day When Some Of Us Were 12 And Under, The Cartoon Show Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtls Premired On Fox In 1987. My Brothers And I Watched All The Time. Had A Bunch Of Of The Toys Too.

Now We Have A New Show. Very Different From The Old One...But..

Been Doing Research. I Found That The New Show Is Actually Lightyears Closer To The Original Comic Books Than The Old Show Ever Was. The New Show Is Pretty Much What They Wanted To Do In The First Place...But Whoever TPTB With The TV Deal Had Other Plans...

Anyways...The Kid In Me Will Always Love The Old Show, But I Love This New One Too.

How About You Folks?

I haven't seen the new version but I did watch the old one when I was a kid. It was no GIJoe but it was decent.

The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are one of those things where I kick myself. I have lots of ideas like that but I say to myself, Nah, nobody will get that it's just to weird. I really need to start writing some of this crazy nonsense down.

Which cartoon had the brain in the robot?

Both Actually.

Though In The Old Show.."The Brain" Krang, Was Around All The Time.

The New Show Is Much More Story Arcing And It Had The Brains Abit Later On.

I loved the old one as a kid ( ) and had a bunch of the toys (darnit, why'd I give those away!), but after seeing one episode of the new one, I had zero interest. I don't know if it's because I have genuine complaints about the show, the fact that I've outgrown cartoons, or a mixture of the 2 reasons.

I liked the old show.My pushes my button is when people at the Networks try to rehash classic programs and then pass them off as either new or Improved

I liked the Original He-man and the Orginal X-men cartoons.Don't mess with a good thing

Old by far, the new one irks me. It's not as cheezy as the old one and its far more violent then the old one too.

ACK! Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles remind me of my idiot/jerk/bigot/ex-boyfriend. Here's why: once he called me and I asked him what he was doning and he was like "Watching Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" and yeah...that was random.

When i was younger i loved the cartoon but the films are crap!!IMO

Which Were Also Heavily Based On The Original Comics, With Touches From The TV Show, Such As The Different Colored Bandanas, April Working As A TV Reporter & Them Being Nuts About Pizza...Maybe A Few More Things.

I voted for the original show...I was into them because my son was about 9 and

he loved them...he had t-shirts and toys aswell. I even made him the face of

one of them as a birthday cake one year....I remember one toy he got, it was

pizza thrower and even had a warning on it "Do not aim at pets"...its funny now

but I was really annoyed...boys that age do not need "suggestions" like that. lol

Nice thread.....Thanks for the memories!!!!!
