ussacclaim 0 Posted March 22, 2004 I don't know about the rest of you but when I saw this episode the thing that got me the most was that Spock never got to make peace with his father. Anyone else have a thought on that?
Miss Satoire 0 Posted March 22, 2004 I think in a way he did, when Captain Picard allowed him to share Sarek's thoughts via the mind meld.
Mr.Picard 12 Posted March 22, 2004 I think in a way he did, when Captain Picard allowed him to share Sarek's thoughts via the mind meld. I agree. Jean-Luc also told Spock that Sarek had loved him and let him feel it via the mind meld in the end of the episode. So Spock made peace with his father and I also think that Sarek had forgiven Spock.

Takara_Soong 4 Posted March 23, 2004 I never understood how they could have love... Vulcans aren't emotionless, they repress their emotions. There's a difference.
SpocksBrain 0 Posted March 23, 2004 (edited) Yeah, I think it was suggested that Spock wanted to make peace all these years but Sarek didn't go for the idea. But, when Spock and Picard do the mind meld he(Spock) realises that Sarek loved him and forgave him. EDIT: basically what Mrs. Picard said :P Edited March 23, 2004 by SpocksBrain

Lubak10 0 Posted March 26, 2004 I can't even imagine how horrible it would be to never be able to make peace with someone. It would be like a wound that never grows a scab over it. Wow, that was deep! I didn't know I could do that!
fenriz275 0 Posted March 26, 2004 That got to me as well, especially because I've been in that situation. :)
