Here's how it works.

One person names an actor or actress, let's call them A.

Now the next person tries to find a connection between A and a regular Star Trek cast member by looking at who they've worked with.

So

A starred in a movie/TV series with actor B

B starred in a movie/TV series with actor C

C starred in a movie/TV series with actor D

D starred in a movie/TV series with a regular star trek actor

(It could take longer than 4 connections)

 

The goal is to get back to a regular star trek cast member within six connections. So for instance let's say Keanu Reeves

Keanu Reeves appeared in the Matrix with Hugo Weaving

Hugo Weaving appeared in the Lord of the Rings with Ian McKellan

Ian McKellan appeares in X-Men with Patrick Stewart

Patrick Stewart is Captain Jean-Luc Picard.
