  1. I gave the episode a 9.5.

Proving Ground was a good episode. Jeffery Combs is quickly becoming one of my favorite non regular characters in a Trek series (I loved his Vorta character in DS9). I also gave applause to Archer for having the balls to strike Shran for trying to take the Xindi weapon. Nice to see the Captain finally show his balls.

I hope that Paramount keeps up the good work with thier episodes. If every episode were as good as this one then there would be no way that they would consider shutting down Enterprise.

  2. The primary storyline reason that Voyager was so small was so that it could navigate through the Badlands in search of the Maquis.

As far as realative ship scale between Voyager and other Starfleet ships... see the following link...

    http://www.ex-astris-scientia.org/schemati...-chart-1060.jpg

This will allow you to see the Intrepid class size in compairson to other ships that you have seen in the Federation.

  3. I put up a post of the Star Trek Micro Machines on the link that you gave above... but there are some that you have that I dont.

So I guess I will need to go back to the drawing board and try to get some more... Where is the best plact to get them?

  4. Whoa... I take it back. You have some that I dont have. I thought that I had them all, but here is my list...

They are all loose as I took them out of their package and have them behind a standing glass case. I dont know about the sets, some of them I purchased from a friend a long time ago. But here goes...

    NCC-1701 (Original Enterprise)

    NCC-1701-B

    NCC-1701-C

    NCC-1701-D

    NCC-1701-D (With Detachable Saucer Section)

    USS Excelsior

    USS Reliant

    USS Grissom

    USS Stargazer

    Klingon Bird Of Prey

Klingon Bird Of Prey (Star Trek IV)

    Klingon Vor'cha Battlecruiser

    Klingon Battlecruiser (TOS)

    Romulan Warbird

    Romulan Bird Of Prey

    Romulan Shuttlecraft

    Vulcan Shuttle

    Borg Cube

    Ferengi Mauruder

    Space Station K-7

    Deep Space Nine Station

    Federation Space Station

How did you get all of your sets? I remember buying them a long time ago. But the stores seemed to have lots of repeats of the same sets.

    Hope this helps...

  5. Enterprise is a great show. If It were canceled by UPN then I strongly believe that someone would pick up the show.

If SciFi picked up Sliders from Fox, then I believe that they would pick up Enterprise from UPN.

    This series must not DIE!!!!

    :(

  6. I agree with you about Vampire that game system is sweet.

but I can't stand the D20 system I think that the char creation prosses is too complex.

I remanis too much about playing dragonlance DL1 with the 2ad rules  :(

but my passion is GURPS now thats a system you can get your teeth into. ;)

I currently labour at trying to convert the GURPS rules into a php MMORPG.

*GURPS (Generic Universal RolePlaying System) by Steve Jackson Games.

Character creation is a little more indepth with 3rd Edition, but the beauty with Dungeons and Dragons now is the D20 system. Any D20 system book is compatible with the other. This gives the game more depth than possible before.

Also WOTC released a Dragonlance campaign setting for 3rd Edition D&D. Check it out. I think it is great.

GURPS was alright in its time, but I think that its time has passed. I was happy when Traveller went from GURPS into D20 Modern. But I do find myself coverting some information from GURPS into D20. It was not a bad system, not bad at all.

But I do love Vampire The Masquerade. The material is simply intoxicating. In fact, I have been playing VTM and Dark Ages Vampire since its 1st Edition. I do love the game.

  7. THAC0, I hated THAC0. THAC0 = (To Hit Armor Class Zero) for all you non 2nd Edition players out there.

Long live the D20 system, and everything it stands for. The D20 system is easier for new players to understand and from a Game masters standpoint it is easier to control a game session. But that is my opinion, nothing more.

But my passion is Vampire the Masquerade and Dark Ages Vampire. I love the game.

Long live the Lasombra, the Keepers Of Shadows...

  8. let us not forget the Prometheus class which provided Starfleet finished it's tests and kept it, it would be a current class ship as well.  Probably as current a we are going to see for some time.

If fact the USS Prometheus was soo recent (classified) when we last saw it that it would probably just be coming into production.

  9. For Me...The U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205. I Loved That Ship. It Was Awsome.  It's My Favorite Star Trek Ship, Period.

When The Breen Weapon Hit It, I Though "Oh They'll Be Ok."  Then As The Ship Got Worse...I Still Thought They'd Be Ok....Then Sisko Ordered Everyone To Abandon Ship...That Got Me Worried...And Even As I Watched The Ship Blowing Up, I Couldn't Believe Was I Was Seeing  :)

When Commercial Came Up...Man...I Can't Even Remember What I Was Doing... :)

    U.S.S. Defiant NX-74205

    2371-2375

    May She Rest In Peace

The loss of the Defiant to the Breen sent me over the edge. I am not very emotional, but it broke my heart.

Even though the USS Sao Paulo became the Defiant, it will never be the same.

    :)

  10. I was a dedicated member of Startrek.com. I frequented the chat service that they had there, but often found myself leaving it to persue other endeavors. I found that the topics there usually would stear in the same direction every night. I simply got tired of it.

    I love this place.

  11. For a non canon design, someone took a lot of time and dedication to "give life" to a ship that was merely just a name in "Star Trek: Nemesis."

In my book that diserves something.

I like the design.  If Paramount does ever decide to make the visual leap with the Titan, I hope that they contact the designer of this ship.

Not bad, not bad at all!!!

Not me, it just looks like an uber-Enterprise. I'd rather see a new design. :)

Then take the time to design one Captain!
