  1. I wonder if any one thought that article could even possibly be true. Everyone I have talked to agrees that it is highly unlikely that it would have happened.

Lt_van_roy, there are other girls on this site, in case you have not noticed. You have no idea how hot any of us are.

  2. Those who use disunity as a means to insult the RSE really do know nothing. There are allowed to be different opinions and conflicts, so long as those do not stop them from triumphing when it comes to others outside then Empire. You cannot really find a race that is otherwise.

  3. What the slave does reflects badly on the master. It was very possible for the Remans to dishonor the Romulans, and they did. I think I agree with you, Argelians. I see nothing wrong with how the Empire chooses to run itself. If they allow slavery, that is their business. It was not a matter of "nerve" really. The Remans could not stop themselves from becoming slaves. They had been slaves for a long time. To Romulans, there is nothing wrong with this. Killing them might be appropriate, but then, if they are the ones who dishonored the Empire should they not kill themselves? (Of course, if they refuse, other means might have to be taken...)

  4. I do not think a Vulcan would ever wear an outfit like the one in your avatar, so it was rather apparent that she was Romulan. The point you made about the reunification episode is a valid one. Are you refering to that insane article on startrek.com?

  5. I read... somewhere, I forgot where, that the Romulans are so xenophobic because they had some awful experiences at their First Contact. They have a right to be like that. If the first new race you encountered betrayed you, then you would be afraid of all races too. I quite agree.

  6. Fascinating, and seemingloy accurate. I have the Rihannsu books on my shelf, waiting to be read, but one can see in the people as a whole a desire for their Empire to trimph. It is amazing how disunited the Romulans can seem on their own planet, but when it comes to facing others, they immediately are a whole, united against enemies who might seek to harm their Empire.

  7. I had forgotten about Dad when I said five. A ration of one billion to one. Yes, mch too easy. Of course, it will become all the more easier once some unbelievers ::coughmyclassmatescough:: find out what the Romulan Star Empire really is like.

I agree that it is strange that the Federation is willing to compromise and deal with a lot of trulyh awful species, and will not deal fairly with a reasonable species like the Romulans. Humans, in my experience, have never been very open-minded, and since humans are the heart of the UFP... Oh well. The RSE does not really need them anyway.

  8. I really have nothing against species 8472, but then, I have not gotten the opportunity to see much of them. If I were to insult anyone, it would be Klingons and/or Ferengi. If anyone is conniving, it is the Ferengi! <_< At least Romulans do not cheat people right and left. :nono:

  9. I have also heard of Romulan wine. I should like to try some of that too. Heck, if it is alcohol and/or Romulan, I will try it! I know what you mean by corrosiveness. My father imports and sells French wine, and so I have had a lot, and tried it side by side. You can really taste the difference.:nono:

  10. The Romulans are a rather confusing people. This may just be due to changes in the course of time and the social evolution of the people, so it is a possibility that they are all accurate. However, it is rather confusing in places. Than again though, one can never really judge a group as a whole. Humans have interesting diversities too. For example, look at Christian history. Are they the small persecuted group of the first century, are they the ruthless warriors from the crusades, are they the crazy who scream and shove the Bible down peoples throats? They are all of these, and none of them. I am a Christian and I fit in none of the above groups. Perhaps it is the same with Romulans. Different things are showing different sides of the people.

  11. Actually, Welfconfed, there are about five of us. You, me, QSMB, Tal Shiar, Beam Me UP, and I cannot think of anyone else right now. Oh yeah, my Dad really likes Romulans too.

If you must insult my race, Carrion, do have the decency to use the spell check button first. It is "conniving."
