  1. It is all rather curious how time travel is only available in certain situations, i mean, theres plenty of time both in the movies and the series where time travel would have been useful, but it wasnt even raised, even though its seems to be as easy as just releasig some chroniton particles in front of you - a la First Contact

  2. Come to think of it, Data did say that intelligence reports proved the existance of weapons factories on Remus. It is entirly possible that the planet could have had planetary based ship yards. It wouldn't be above Shinzon or the Remans to take matierials and weapons to build the Scimitar from there.

I could have sworn that at one point, Shinzon tell picard about how he built a secret base on remus to construct the scimitar, unless it was one of the deleted scenes..... hmm, anyone care to point me in the right direction??

  3. maybe he thought Kirk returned from the grave and stole the Ent-A from spacedock. B)

What? again? theres only so many times a guy can be demoted ya know :)

He was only demoted once. :)

Yeah, but they wouldnt look very happily on having to do it again would they?

Oh, oh, I caught your joke! :) Nice one! :P

I wasnt actually tryin to tell a joke, but if it was funny, it was funny...

  4. I dont know how many Brits there are on here, but did anyone notice the Marks and Spencer's advert that Patrick Stewart did for christmas? I thought that was kind of a low move for him. He is a great actor, he's been in lots of successful non-trek stuff (ie X-Men 2) and he is lowering himslef to doing adverts for a mediochre department store?!?

  5. I would be interested in a voyager movie, purely to see what everyone does when they get back to earth - What about Seven of Nine and Neelix (remember that the federation have never seen a Talaxian before) Would the federation want to study them, and what will they do now they are back to earth? Then theres the Maqui crew members, what happens to them? immunity? do they stay in starfleet? And what about the doctor? Obviously Voyager is a bit 'out-of-date' by the time they get back to earth, does the ship get a refit or is it scrapped? Either way, where does he go and what does he do with his freedom?

I could go on for ages about the questions I have......

Although I do want these questions answered, I dont know if it is enough to actually warrant a movie though. It probably wouldnt be successful enough

  6. The problem with uber-ships is that they sacrifice maneuverability. It's all well and good being absolutely massive and full of weapons but your a bit stuck when its comes to evading things, your just more of a target. That's why I would prefer a few small ships to just a single big one

  7. I would love to have been Harry Kim. Its great to see how his character develops ov the course of the entire show. Considering he is fresh out of starfleet and on his very first assignment when voyager is taken to the delta quadrant. I'd love to have gone from being that naive young ensign, to the confident man he is at the end.

  8. Okay I know that Spock kind of explained it on the Bridge while the ship was under attack, but I never quite understood how it was that General Chang's Bird of Prey was able to fire while under cloak.

I thought ships couldnt fire through cloaks because the inside of the cloak would reflect the blasts back at the ship, how could they have found a way around this?? hmmm.......

I believe the cloak is just an effect of bending Light around the ship so would'nt it be the shields which would cause a blowback, not the cloak?

As for a way around it, that's shown in the movie. When the torpedo is firing you can see the launcher so a hole must be opening in the cloak (or shields or both) to allow it to egress.

Okay, thats true, but going back to the way the cloak works, I checked my Star Trek Fact Files, apparently the cloak acts as 'a form of double shield. If a weapon were fired, it would rebound against the firing ship'

  9. I would imagine that hardly nobody does the same job every shift. As many are trained in different areas they might have turbolift control one shift, then the next is in the transporter room and so on..

Yeah, but you could only rotate around a certain number of jobs, you wouldnt be taught to do everything would you? It would be too much

  10. In the episode “Up The Long Ladder” Riker tells Brenna that she does not need to clean as the Enterprise is self cleaning. According to ship blue prints there is only one public toilet on the Enterprise.

I thought there was two, and the original Enterprise 1701 didnt have any at all :)

  11. Its not just Chang's bird of prey either, you also have the scimitar from ST: Nemesis that could fire while cloaked as well.

I thought ships couldnt fire through cloaks because the inside of the cloak would reflect the blasts back at the ship, how could they have found a way around this?? hmmm.......

  12. Yeah, they could have made Kes's departure a bit more involving, I know it happened over a few epsiodes, but it just kinda happened without warning and then she was gone, It was good how she returned later on though even if it was just for one episode

  13. I was glad winn died at the end she was evil

I dont think she was evil, just misguided.

As for the war, I feel it was a brilliant way to evolve DS9. It was brilliant for them to base the show on a station, but I believe that its was also very hard from a scriptwriting point of view. Theres only so many things you can do on a space station and some short range shuttles before you start going over the same ideas, hence the defiant's coming into existance. The war was great because it stopped the show from turning into another 'lets go explore in our ship' kind of show
