    I just got addicted to this show. Ever since the Trek franchise took a breather some people turned to BSG,but since i was a Josh Wehedon fan i have turned to this quirky show that didn't get a change in heck. Typical Fox. They put new shows in impossibel time slots-like opposite Survivor so they cancel them or they premet thier hits like House or Bones for everything from Baseball to American Idol. Its ridiculous.

     

    This show is a cult icon and i am glad for that

    I finally saw it and was not impressed. Its just a rehash of all the other stuff that has been shown on the channel. And most of the show was talking about the auction which was a farse imo. The items should have gone to the Star Trek experience or the Smithsonian (i am still mad the original Enterprise is in the cellar in the store) rather then have rich fans who bid big $$ for some items. I still can't believe the Enterprise D went for a half a million dollars!

    I have always worried about my spelling. Even with a college eductaion I have horrible spelling and sme times my arguments are incoherant. I have noticed many people refuse to look past bad spelling and ignore the persons argument/post/thread entirely. Even though some people's first language may not be English.

     

    What are your guys opnions on this?

     

     

    I usually spell pretty well, and I often hope others could too. But, I know that there are a lot of people on the internet do not commonly use English in their daily life. So, for the most part, I try not to be hypercritical of it. Unless it is so mangled that I cannot understand a word of it, that is a bit of a headache.

    If you're concerned that people here will be critical of you if your spelling isn't perfect, I would say please post and don't be overly worried. This is a pretty friendly board, and almost everybody makes some mistakes sometimes. I prefer good spelling, but am an imperefect speller. I do try to proofread what I type before hitting send and of course, everyone can always edit after a post if they choose. I want to hear what other say and so I say, post your views, and post often! :)

     

    I am not worried about this board. I happen to know for a fact that the mods are really doing thier job (HI AE - HI DIL) I just have had some experiences where when I have posted (other boards ofcourse) instead of taking my whole post into context it would be how stupid I was. Which annoyed me to no end. This was also the board where the Mods would instigate fights through trolling. Lovely huh.

     

    In your response to proofreading- I am sure most of us do that to beging with. Its just sometimes in the heat of a discussion people tend to forget to

    I know Gotham City (and Metropolis) are supposed to be modeled after NYC, and is supposed to be on the northeastern coast, but I don't think the franchise ever identified a specific state.

     

    Personally I always thought Gotham City was more like Chicago than NYC., especially since Chicago has a larger history with organized crime the likes of Al Capone / The Joker, etc. The Batmobile scenes in Batman Begins were actually filmed in downtown Chicago.

    I totally understand what you are talking about Tina. I used to be huge into myspace, but then it wasn't worth it. The site takes forever to do anything. I mean I click to view someone's profile, and then walk away, eat dinner, take the dog for a walk and then I come back to see if the page is done loading, sometimes it is. And all those adds make me soo angry! I can't even focus on the actual website! I got so sick of porno girls trying to add me as a friend. I am a girl and a straight one at that! Ugh, myspace has really gone downhill. A lot of my high school buddies that were in bands used myspace as a way to get their name out there and keep everyone informed of their upcoming shows, and I loved it. But now, even the music portion of the site blows. Ugh, that's why I deleted my profile sometime ago.

     

     

    VC, Perhaps its Dial up you should be mad at. LOL . This is why i got a cable modem. Much faster. But i get what you mean- I get some much rappers that try to add me. I Don't like rap. My profile is that of a serious fangirl.Its a random thing i think!

     

     

    My Space is not all bad but it does pass unregulated and its a shame.

     

     

     

    Most of the internet is unregulated. Or did you mean unmoderated?

     

    I mean both. Delete underage and inappropriate profiles. And of the people who have died-Delete thier profiles.

    I am currently on MySpace. I guess everyone is. I keep in touch with family,old school chums and make new fangirls in arms but i see several HUGE problems with MySpace

     

    SPAM!

    I am really tired of those stupid Spam adds like *pop the girls zits* or *pluck the guys nose hair* for a free ring tone

     

    I saw one that was *Shave the guy*.

     

    Who makes these? Do they think they are being funny and creative- Cuz its stupid

     

    And WHAT THE HECK IS A ZWINKY? It looks stupid and I don't want it!

     

    The worst is the icons. Everytime i try to move my cursor over the thing it yes OH MY GOD! NO WAY or HELLLLLO. My bosses look at me funny

     

    ...MySpace Admins,Mods or maintenance people- They always update and fix stuff. (even when its 2 pm EST and you were just TRYIng to lok at your mail) Why can't they delet that crap? I'm sure its a ploy to get people to click and to spam thier inboxes.I mean its it THAT easy to touch a red bunny and geta PS3? Really?

    Unregulated profiles

    I saw my Christian Cousins profile and alerted my Aunt-The girl is 14 and is dressing like a 20 yr old. SOme kids are passing for older. There has been a lot of predetor like activity because of this kids posting as adults.I know of people posting Suicide notes on thier blogs. Should it be better moderated?

     

    MySpace as a way to get noticed as an Artist

     

    I want to set the record straight about something. I support artists. Everyone. Painters,Actors,Musicians,Dancers the works.

     

    And in this wacky world of MySpace. Where there are fake (and real) profiles of artists I get a bunch per day

     

    All Rappers.

     

    I have never been a rap or Reggeton fan. Nor will i ever. Most current rap or reggeton objectifies woman and is purely materialistic. It may have been a way to get out of the bad neighborhoods but the current batch of artists (with exceptions) sound the same.

     

    I know i have such a nerdy fangirl profile but yet i get 10-15 people trying to add me a day who are rappers.

     

    Now what part of

     

    I don't like rap don't you get? Pester someone else. Or atleast read my profile!

     

    Jeeze rappers- Shove off! I am serious.Unless its different than the norm (like Christian Rap!) I am saying DENY DENY DENY

     

     

     

     

    Now. That brings me to my point-Opinions. Does anyone have a problem with MySpace? Anyone on MySpace and think its wonderful?
