  1. True enough.  So the answer is that if we have a particle that enters a medium at

a speed apparently faster than that of light in that medium, information transfer across that medium is limited to c/n.

I'm sorry, this probably isn't a topic for the limited mind of a 16 year old, but I' like it. However, I can't remember what n is.

  2. Well, It's my belief that they would tie. Spot seems to have a mean streak, however, Porthos is a beagle. And a Beagle is a hunting dog by nature, as stated earlier. I think they would only fight if Porthos backed spot into a corner. Spot would probably attack to escape. otherwise, Spot would probably run away. I base my conclusion on my own cats and their experiences.

  3. So are you saying he was assimilated by the Borg at some point?

No, In that episode a borg done was created from Seven's nanoprobes getting into the doctor's mobile emitter during a transporter accident. The mobile emitter assimilated the science lab and made a borg maturation chamber to develop a borg using a crew member's DNA. So the borg drone, one, was never actually assimilated.

  4. Now the Klingons, on the other hand, they knew how to build ships.  Their shuttles weren't much to look at, but you can count their capital ship classes from Enterprise to Voyager on one hand.  None of this "Oh, this nebula is green!  We have to build a new class of ship for this one!" crap that the Federation pulls.

That may be, but the federation ships are a lot more interesting.

  5. Why do the shuttles have "number" classifications?  I've always believed that each ship class, and similar ship designs, have their own shuttle design which explains why the shuttle always mirrors the mother ship.  I also find it hard to believe that they only designed 11 shuttlecraft in 100 years.  If they're going to design a full-size starship, how hard would it be to design one or two types of shuttlecraft to go along with that design?[/color]

At one point I had the Next Generation Technical Manual and it said that there were, I think, Five different types of shuttles aboard it. Not all of them mirrored the Enterprise-D's design. And Voyager's original shuttles were the same as the D's.
