  1. I liked the Son'a and want to find out more about them.Like, how did such a small group of outcasts conquor two civilizations and build a fleet of ships?Where exactly lies their territory on the galactic map?Which planet(s) are under their control? How significant are they militarily? Were all the Son'a reunited with the Baku?

  2. Here's hoping they whip the Falcons.A nice old fashioned blow-out victory would be nice,as I have invested heavily in three panthers players this week in fantasy football.I'll keep my fingers crossed. :dude:

I have 3 fantasy teams.I'm starting Mushin Muhammad at WR and Delhomme at QB on one of them,Mushin Muhammad at WR on another, and Proehl at WR on the third.Don't let me down Carolina!

  3. Stardate:213729.9

Ah today the M's lost 2-1 to the angels and Oakland won 5-4 so Oakland wins the west.Boston also won so there magic number is 2.Like they say there is always next year. But the M's still won 90-95 games so it has been a good season. They still have the highest winning percentage since the start of the millenium.

I'll have to agree that it appears my Mariners are going to spend yet another post season, sun bathing in Hawaii instead of hurling shut-outs and hammering in homeruns in the October Classic.I'll probably do what I have become used to doing this time of year, cheering on my favorite NL ballclub, the Giants.

Great Minds think alike eh Captian?Giants are also my favorite NL team and unless Boston makes it to the World Series I am rooting for the Giants. All except Barry Bonds that is.I have lost all respect for that man for what he said about the Babe. That was disrespectuful and uncalled for.(im talking about when he said he was gonna"Wipe his fat but out of the record books and that Ruth wasnt as good as everybody hyped him up to be")

I can't stand Barry Bonds, the arrogant, pompous *buttocks*.I hate the way he swaggers up to the plate as if there isn't a pitcher alive capable of shutting him down.He is so full of himself, that I almost wish some pitcher would paste him between the eyes with a fastball. That said, there probably isn't a pitcher in MLB capable of shutting him down.Still, the guy could take a few lessons in humility.

  4. I have a large CD collection (I even have boxes of casettes,8-tracks,and vinyl...I just can't throw them away),and there isn't a moment during the day that music isn't playing in my house. Some of my favorite artists from my collection are:

    Stevie Wonder

    Marvin Gaye

    Teddy Pendergrass

    Al Green

    Barry White

    Curtis Mayfield

    The Commodores

    Lionel Richie

So,who do you have in your collections?

  5. I would think so.However,I would think that maybe such an army would be composed of "National Guard" type units, the members of which would be native to the worlds and/or star system their particular unit is based in.These units may not have anything to do with the Starfleet.

  6. Well, first of all I hate this week in the NFL.The byes are going to kill me in fantasy...and all the injuries

    Okay,here are my predictions:

Baltimore over Kansas City (Its time for the Chiefs to drop one)

Arizona over St.Louis (is 2 wins in a row asking too much of Arizona?Probably)

Green Bay over Chicago (the Bears couldn't beat a good varsity JC team)

Buffalo over Philadelphia (The Eagles nightmare season continues)

Houston over Jacksonville (The Jags couldn't beat the Bears!)

Cleveland over Cincinnati (Even without Halcomb, the Browns can beat Cincy)

New England over Washington (I want to say Redskins win this....I dont know)

Indianapolis over New Orleans (Another loss for the boys from the bayou)

Detroit over Denver (just a feeling I have)

Minnesota over San Francisco (The 49ers are hurting worse than they'll admit)

Carolina over Atlanta (Panthers undefeated?Who would have thought?)

Dallas over New York Jets (Again, just a feeling)

Pittsburgh over Tennessee (The Titans are good, but not this good)

San Diego over Oakland (I hate the Raiders.'nuff said)

  7. I was so busy with other things,I only registered a team Saturday night. The draft was finished this morning, and I have a good "mid-major" team.I'll need to get my hands on at least 1 good WR,a good back-up QB,and three better defensive players than I was given (although,I may keep Urlacher).Right now there are no free agents and everybody is on waivers until the 28th,so I may have to make do with what I have.

QB Jake Plummer (Den)..............back-up QB  Michael Vick (Atl)

WR Corey Bradford (Tex).............back-up WR Antuan Boldin (Arz)

WR Terry Glenn (Dal)..................back-up  RB Kevin Barlow (SF)

WR Joe Horn (NO)........................back-up DEF San Francisco

    RB  Priest Holmes (KC)

RB  Moe Williams (MN)...................D Brian Urlacher (Chi)

    TE Kyle Brady (Jac)

    K    Matt Bryant (NYG)

    DEF  Indianapolis

I don't recall the name of 2 of the defensive players I was dealt (and the fact that I do not know them, shows how far down on the totem pole they are).As you can see I have some work to do to improve this team.Hopefully,I'll have a superbowl contender by week-5.

Let us know when you finish fine tuning your team.I'm curious to see who you come up with.I think I'd hang on to Moe Williams and Indianapolis.

  8. Can you hear the theme from Jaws?

    SHARKS SHARKS SHARKS SHARKS

Okay, you canadians stop laughing at me!I know San Jose has an ice cube's chance in hell, but they are my team and I've followed them since they were founded (until then I cheered for the Canucks, since Vancouver was the closest city with a professional team,to where I live in Oregon...but when the 'Frisco bay area got a team,I changed aliegiance). They've got heart,at least.

  9. I am involved in a flam war at the moment,on the message board of one of my Yahoo fantasy football teams' league sites. Some jerk, calling himself "Pittsburgh Pete" just decided to start insulting me every time I posted anything (my good luck post to everybody,my open-ended trade proposals, etc),and I have hammered him right back.I have messaged Yahoo numerous times about this jerk, since he is violating the terms of use sportsmanship agreement, but Yahoo has not responded once in these past 2 weeks.I'm starting to think, they will not.And virtually nobody else in the league ever posts. So it has just been he and I trading jabs every few days.I have already faced this guy's team (and pasted them by more than 70 points in week 1).I'm considering simply ignoring him from here on out,but part of me feels that this would be a retreat.I'll message Yahoo again tonight. His latest post was just a flood of vulgarities, with no real message or point.

  10. I tried this a few times.A woman I was seeing for a while in '01,enjoyed rollerblading and would ask me to rollerblade with her...I hated doing it,because I am the most uncoordinated black man on the face of God's green earth (I ain't much for dancing, either).I never fell(luck),but I was clearly in trouble whenever I'd take off.I hope to never have to put on a pair of blades again. B)

  11. My father was a caddy for three years at an Mississippi golf course, and he attempted to teach me the game a few times when I was a teen.I hated golf and never paid much attention to his lessons (which infuriated him).Eventually,he saw that I had no intentions of learning the sport and gave up.I'm still not much of a fan,but I keep tabs on Tiger.

  12. The sad part is the Cards would STILL not be able to sell out a stadium in LA.

You may be right, there.I don't think Los Angelinos care for any sport other than Basketball.Oh,they sure love a team when its winning, but the rest of the time you could hear a pin drop in their satdiums and arenas. Its starting to look like the Dodgers might leave soon, too.Brooklyn is building a huge campaign to lure them back home.Dodgers attendance has been terrible the past several years, and the team has become a perennial also ran.
