  1. He should return just in time for the next movie. That'd be great.

I don't know what threat there might be,but I'd like to see Sisko again. Its a shame that Janeway got to be in a Trek film before Sisko. That just wasn't right.

  2. I'm a little like Captain Smiley when it comes to X-Mas.There's hardly anything I ever really want.I'm pretty well satisfied with what I have. The thing I always look forward to is Christmas dinner

This is my favorite time of year.Thanksgiving dinner followed up by Christmas dinner.

I'm getting my boy Yu-Gi-Oh! cards and toys. That's all he's talked about for weeks now.The morning after Halloween,I was hearing from him about Christmas.

Man,first Pokemon, then Digimon, now Yu-Gi-Oh...I wish the Japanese would ease off of my pocket book a little.

  3. Yeah, there wasn't a whole lot that happened between 77 and 81. Did you ever get to Norfolk?

    No.

I've been through Norfolk, but not before I left the Navy. After basic in Great Lake,Illinois I was sent directly to San Diego. From there I spent the better part of a year in Yokosuka,Japan before returning to San Diego, where I finished out my career.

I have a ton of photos from my time in the Navy,I'm thinking that tomorrow or the next day I'll sort through them and maybe I'll post one or two.

  4. I served in the USN from '77-to-'81.I started my career as a steward, but eventually made chief boatswain's mate.Spent the majority of my career serving aboard the guided-missile cruiser South Carolina.

I joined as much for the opportunity for travel as for the chance to get the Navy to pay my way through school. And I did get to travel.I've been to Japan,South Korea,Singapore, the Philipines ,New Zealand, and Australia, just to name a few places.

Never found myself involved in any sort of hostilities, though I was in the south china sea back in march of '79 when Carter sent us in to keep an eye on the Chinese invasion of north vietnam.I was scared to death

  5. Didn't Spock mind meld with Kirk (while Kirk was sleeping) after Edith Keeler died?In order to take some of the Captain's pain away, because Spock could not stand seeing his friend in such agony and despair.I felt that was a very touching moment.

  6. I've wondered for quite a while whether or not the views displayed on the main screens on the bridges of starships is a true life image of the space outside,or simply computer-generated images of surrounding space.

It seems to me that the starships displayed are much too brightly lit from the outside, considering they are in interstellar space most of the time (same for shuttles),and in warp flight, the stars wouldn't seem to flow past the ship like they do (but that can be explained by saying that is how they look from the odd Nth dimensional universe warp flight is possible in).

    Any opinions?

  7. I'd be all for it.But it may be cost prohibitive for Paramount to go in and do that to every episode.Of course,I don't understand why it should be,considering what they charge us for season sets

I'd love to own the complete TOS with cleaned-up effects, and maybe refreshed musical scores.

  8. I use XP firewall.Since activating it,I haven't been able to use the font, color, size, shadow,or glow options when posting anywhere.I also use Norton anti-virus and firewall.I don't know if that has anything to do with either firewall, but my problems with using the code buttons only began after I activated my firewalls.
