  1. Imo, canon is fairly important to me because it maintains the integrity of the Star Trek saga intact. However, I would hate to see a potentially great story prevented from being produced solely due to any adherence to strict canonical interpretations. On a scale of 1 to 10 with ten being of utmost importance, I would rate canon a 7. Very important, but not absolutely important to keep the stories of Star Trek good and interesting. :elephant:

  3. My vote went for Shatner. The ideas at Paramount must be non existent if all they could come up with was a re-cast of TOS geared at a younger audience -- That is bad enough, but giving a cameo to Nimoy while not including Kirk is unthinkable!! Surely, Paramount/CBS studios with their deep pockets could've afforded a small scene featuring the actor that for decades portrayed and defined one of the most enigmatic characters in the Star Trek universe. :Hmmm...:

  4. I doubt I will purchase them. I am happy with the originals I already own on dvd. :hand:

The only problem with the originals even the scenes that are sans FX shots are cleaned up with richer, more vibrant colors and it's all remixed in Dolby stereo as well.

Imo, there are no problems with the originals. The reason that TOS was so good was not the f/x anyways (although the series was all the more endearing for trying its best with what was available at the time). Its popularity was due to the stories and the imaginations of the viewers.
