  1. I voted for Troi..mainly because of her 1st season attire. She has managed to age very well, and is still a very attractive woman. The same can be said for Jeri Ryan, but i didn't want to go for the most recent.

  2. I just got bored with all the effects and long fights. I skipped through a lot of the movie.

I would really have liked more story and more substance to the movie then what we got.

Definately. Hopefully the 3rd one won't be suckville like this one...and Neo won't have to fight for 6 hours in a row and get NOTHING accomplished

  3. Crewman: Sir, there's another starship coming in...it's the Enterprise!

Dylan: You mean Picard's huge engine of butt-kicking?

    Crewman: Um...no, Archer's weak-kneed dinghy of suckitude.

    Nice signature! heh

Ok..back on topic. I haven't seen the first Trekkers in ages...I need to pick up a copy of that before the new one comes out

  4. Maybe this should have gone in Risa but I've had this on my mind for a while.  You may have noticed SUV's have been under attack lately.  Some environmental groups are physically destroying them on car lots and in a real creative use of biblical interpretation we now have the "What Would Jesus Drive" campaign.

Gas consumption isn't my issue with SUV's.  It's how fast they drive...we all know the greater the mass and speed the higher the force of impact. SUV's are death on wheels -if I'm ever hit by an SUV...I will be gone, even if the accident isn't my fault.

To say I feel strongly about this subject is an understatement  I feel blood boiling mad because the SUV trend is another instance of where having more money gives you a greater chance at life.  I live in a rural community - I drive through farmland to work everyday and I get passed by a lot of speeding trucks and SUVs.  If I had money I'd probably buy an SUV in self defense.

Some people want to tax SUV's for their excessive gas consumption; but personally I think speeding tickets should be weighted by the size of your vehicle.  Okay let's hear your response.

I too agree. I also agree with the fact that all cars are dangerous...but I would rather be hit by a Civic doing 100mph than an Explorer doing 100mph....if I REALLY had a choice

  5. i voted no. after all in picards time the borg were next to impossible to defeat. so how on earth or any other planet are the crew of ENTERPRISE gonna deal with them. i think their just trying to bring in more familiarity. instead they need to go their own course. but alas i shall watch the episode like all others.

I voted no as well. But, if written properly, i suppose it could be alright..I just wouldn't like to see all that many conflicts in the timeline. I'm picky I guess!

  6. I use windows, but enjoy using mac as well. If mac software and parts were easier to find, i may change my mind. Also, try Lindows and BeOS. Nothing PC-related are compatable for the most part, but it's always fun to try new things and get away from the grind

  7. Ok, before anyone reads this, BE WARNED. Bad language is to follow. I wanted to give an accurate representation of the call, and thus this could not be omitted.

    Click for Spoiler:

This gentlmen called in wanting to network his wife's laptop with his desktop pc. The ISP i worked for did not support networking, and only guarenteed service on 1 machine. When I checked his prior tech notes, I discovered a lot of red comments...all of which said he was very abrasive.

Customer: Yeah i'm trying to network

Tech: Sir, i'm sorry but we here at (ISP) do not support or troubleshoot networks of any kind. We just..

Customer: (interrupting) look, son. I need to get this (I'm trying to say a bad word but can't) done before my wife gets home. She gets pissy.

Tech: Well, sir unless you are having trouble on the PC we have troubleshot before, there really is nothing I can do for you.

Customer: I called this tech support crap because I need some damn support. If I say that my other modem is messin' up, will you help me out?

Tech: Ok..ok. I'll see what I can do.

Customer: That's better. Ok...when I plug the phone cord into the modem, nothing happens.

Tech: Do you have all of your filters installed on every phone, fax machine, alarm system, everything EXCEPT your modem?

    Customer: I'm not an idioit.

Tech: I never said you were, sir. I was just ask.

Customer: (Interrupting) you aren't listening to a damned word i'm saying, are you?

Tech: I have heard every word sir. I'm just trying to help troubleshoot your problem.

Customer: It's you that has the problem.

    Tech: Excuse me?

Customer: Hang on a second. My wife is home.

    Tech:.....

Customer: Sorry bout that...she's being a huge (I'm trying to say a bad word but can't) today.

Tech: Sir, I don't know if you are aware of this, but swearing over an open telephone line is against the law.

    Customer: Oh really?

    Tech: Yes sir.

    (long pause)

    Customer: ok...well...

    Tech: yes sir?

Customer: (I'm trying to say a bad word but can't) you and the horse you rode in on you son of a (I'm trying to say a bad word but can't)! I can say whatever the hell I want to because this is the god damn USA and i'm an American citizen who...

Tech: (interrupting) Sir, I warned you. Thank you for calling (ISP) and have a pleasant day.

  8. I know EXACTLY what that's talking about. I worked as a DSL tech for over a year. Everyone's an expert. Most people have genuine problems, and thats going to happen with any ISP. But some calls are just unbelievable. That was one of those instances. Very entertaining!

  9. Which seasons though? I haven't seen all of Voyager so give me a good starting point. Which seasons do you enjoy watching the most?

Your best bet would be so start out halfway through Season 3. From there on, the series is fantastic IMHO. The first two seasons were much like Enterprise. A little lacking. Not bad persay, just lacking something.

  10. Have you ever noticed that in "All Good Things", Captain Beverly Picard orders her vessel to travel faster than warp 10? I don't remember exactly what the speed was..i'm thinking she said warp 13. Anyway, if it was already known that warp 10 was unreachable, and was infinate speed, why the warp 13? There is probably a explanation somewhere, but I don't know what it is. Just wanting to find out if anyone knew more about it

  11. a bit of a brain twister. i get a migrane thinking about all the time paradox situations. i dont understand how they keep all the people together then reintegrate them. their from different times, if you take one out of their time, arent you changeing the others that come after? also how does taking different time period sevens, more than a few times cause problems physically? i just get a headache thinking about all this. janeway going back and stopping captain whats his name, suddenly all the interference they caused vanished, but now they have three different time period captain whats his names locked up. thats just not right.i can go on, and on, and on, but ill save that for later.

Janeway: See you back in the 24th century.

Seven: I look forward to it. Or should I say backward.

    Janeway: Don't get started....

    That says it all :waaaa:

  12. I didn't really care for the uniforms, personally. I don't know what is was about them...just didnt really click with me. The crew of "Relativity" seemed a little full of themselves. But I guess things like that would happen if you new the future. (Does that make sense?)

Story was a good one. It was however one of the many that seemed to feature on 7 of 9. But that's ok. I don't mind a little Seven in my diet!

I'd say...7. Good writing, good storyline. Not stellar, but definately enjoyable.
