The following takes place between April 23rd and April 27th.
Alright, I know this is my second week doing this theme but I really couldn't come up with any questions I was happy with. So, I'm doing 24 week again. Same as last time, I give you a 24 character (I've included two Day 5 characters as I'm pretty sure they appeared by now for most people) and you tell me the actor who played that character and a role that they played in Star Trek.
-
StarTrek.com is now reporting this story as well. Looks like we have confirmation.
I'm very excited about this creative team. These guys are proven and I get the impression that they are fans of Star Trek which I believe should be a prerequisite of the job.
The Kirk/Spock prequel thing is a little odd but it way work. There are some interesting characters that could be thrown in there, Finnegan most notably.
Gary Mitchell is too young and Ben Finney is too old to be there at the same time as Kirk and Spock.

I love 24! I've been watching it from the beginning, and I'm thinking about buying the DVDs so I can (try to) watch an entire season for an entire day straight through.
Am I the only one who thinks it's strange that the characters never eat, drink, or go to the bathroom all day?

They do that stuff off screen, during commercials and when the show is following another plot line.
-
I've heard great things about this show but I've never seen it. I don't even know when its on...lol
Mondays at 9pm on Fox. But jumping in at this point may not make much sense. We're already 3/4 of the way through the 5th Day.
-
Hey Chloe, as you can tell from my screen name I too am a fan of 24.
I also have to let you know that I had to add the spoiler code because some countries aren't as far along in the season.

The proper name for the sash is a baldric.
And Worf's father's name is spelled Mogh.

A similar report appeared on Trektoday with some of the same details (i.e. Tiberius Chase) but nothing about a producer at Paramount championing the cause.
Honestly, what does anyone have to lose on a new Star Trek movie? With the crap Hollywood has been producing, a proven, though shaky at the moment, franchise should at least be given a shot.
As for the movie details, I like working the name Tiberius into a character before Kirk to explain his unusual middle name. However, I would go with James Tiberius. Simply because I think it works better. Kind of like how Blue Jays pitcher Ted Lilly is actually Theodore Roosevelt Lilly. Other than that, the Romulan war is as good a place to start as any other.

From what I remember kirkwinter telling me, Stuart Baird, whilst doing the commentary track for his movie: Star Trek: Nemesis, was told the box office and then left the recording room to kick some dumpster out back and had to get foot surgery due to that..
As I haven't bothered rewatching the movie in quite a time nor listened to its commentary, does anyone here know if that was true?
Don't know if its true but he deserves a broken foot. I lay the blame for Nemesis' failure squarely at his feet, broken or not. I also blame whoever hired him. I mean, they had to tell him he couldn't do certain things because this is Trek, first hint he was a bad choice.

In novels, his name is Vkruk.
Or we could call him Hellboy, because Perlman also played him.
