  1. But back to my first post, I raised a question...

Say you knew how to turn the gravitational energy into the energy you need to fuel your ship. Say also that you had a nugget of highly-compressed matter (like the same matter that exists in the Earth but compressed to the size of your fist) AND a gravitational containment field. Gravity is constant, so couldn't gravity be a source of infinite energy, making the speed of light possible?

  2. But in The Wrath of Khan, Chekov had been promoted to being first officer of the Reliant. He then went back to the Enterprise. Then it was Sulu who got his own command first. Shouldn't either (a) Chekov have gotten a command first, or ( Sulu have gotten promoted to first officer of Reliant making him the one to scream in TWOK?

  3. yes, collective would be the best example, and Do not worship me, for compared to some of this boards members I am amature, I merely have seen every episode of Voyager and 80% of Tng, almost no DS9 or TOS or ENT

I can understand that. When TNG finished, I knew everything about Trek. And I mean everything. But after that, I didn't watch new stuff much anymore, and it ended almost entirely after the second season of Voyager. I have only recently started watching again, and I've picked up quite a bit since then. I just wish there was a station around here (that I know of) that played Voyager.

    I need more!

  4. No, it wasn't The Cry of the Onlies. This book had nothing to do with any Star Trek crews (unless it was, say Capt. Kirk who discovered it). This book merely listed all planets known to the Federation, the people who live on, their physical characteristics, and how the planet was discovered and/or how first contact was made.

I don't remember what it was called, my mother had it. This was back in '94, so there might be an updated version of it.

  5. I don't think that Klingons can't hold their liquor. Remember the TNG episode when they rescued the Irish colonists, and then the scientist colonist (who were all a bunch of clones)? Worf introduced Klingon blood wine to one of the colonists who apparently found it to be extra strong.

Maybe Romulan ale has something in it that effects Klingons.

    Maybe it's laced with "LDS"!

  6. I just gave it some thought, and I remember seeing a book that lists Federations planets and the people that live on them. I think the planet was named "Onlies" after what the children called themselves.

  7. I don't remember the name of the episode, but The Enterprise encounters another planet which is 100% identical to Earth, except for the fact that all the adults are dead and only the children remain. Kirk said that teachers and other adults would be sent, but whetever happened to this planet? And what was it named? They couldn't call it Earth, of course.

  8. I'm not from Germany (my family is) but my girlfriend was born and raised there, so I brought the question to her. She says that she herself looks at it as nothing but entertainment. And since the Nazis are a part of the past, it has no effect whatsoever on her life. As far as her opinion on people's reactions over in Germany, she thinks that for the most part they be just a bit embarrassed.
