Good question. For me I would have to say it’s a combination of a good plot, (The Best of Both Worlds), one that makes you think (Frame of Mind), and/or are humorous (Deja Q). I prefer episodes that are for the most part, not based in the holodeck, or on a planet. Those episodes just don’t seem very science fiction to me.

:) Wow! Very impressive. Way to go! -
O.K. I screwed up. Somehow I clicked on view vote instead of vote and now I can't cast my vote, so here it is anyways.
Nemesis, First Contact, Insurrection. I didn't have any trouble deciding which order to put them in.

I always enjoyed the Q episodes because they took a break and put some more humor in the show. So I would say in general the Q episodes,Master Q
StarTrek_Master_Q@yahoo.com
I have to agree with Master Q on this one. Q episodes are the funniest to me. Although, The Naked Now had some pretty good lines in it to. I believe someone from engineering told Picard to "keep his britches on" when Picard asked them to do something. That line just cracked me up for some reason.

If I had to pick one, it's Data. But I'm going to pick two because I can.
And the other is......drum roll......Shinzon (surprise, surprise). I still want him to get a chance to redeem himself.

master_q, you are making my head hurt.
I have noticed that people either get Star Trek or they don't. They either love it or hate it; there's no in between.
But as for that teacher, I would tell him to get his facts straight before he goes quoting people.

Just wondering if there are any fellow Eddie Izzard fans out there? If you have not done so already, may I suggest watching Eddie Izzard Unrepeatable. The last ten minutes are on Star Trek. Very funny stuff; he suggests changing the phaser settings from stun and death to limp and slight cough, among several others.
Eddie, live long a prosper! :)

I guess this is the place to explain why I am a shinzonfan. O.K. here it goes. First I want to say that although he is easy on the eyes, it is not because of his looks. It is because I can relate to him more than any of the other characters. I had a terrible life growing up and still to this day I am suffering because of it. I can’t help but think if I didn’t have such s*#theads for parents, things could be so different for me now. Not that I do not have control over my own life now, but so much has been lost and I have been forever altered by it.
Shinzon is the same way. He had all the potential Picard had but it was what happened to him in his life that made him the way he is. Although he liberated the Remans he was still a slave to his emotions. I, like him, still hold on to a lot of anger and resentment. Star Trek was an escape from reality for me. That is why it means so much to me still. I would have liked to have seen Shinzon overcome his animosity and realize he had a chance to make a new life for himself.
Sorry to be so depressing, but that is why I like Shinzon.

LYRICS TO THE PUNK SONG IN ST4:TVH;Just where is our future, the things we've done and said...
Let's just push the button, we'd be better off dead...
Cause Iiiiii hate you... And Iiiiii BERATE you...
And Iiii can't wait to get to you...
The systems of ours fathers is dumped on us, the sons..
the only choice we're given... Is how many MEGATONS...
And Iiiiii berate you... And Iiiiii say SCREW YOU!
And Iiii hope your blue too...
We're all bloody worthle---
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA! :o I love that tune, anyone have the whole thing?
i could get my hands on it, if i knew who it was by
I'm 99%sure the guy who played the punk guy listening to the song in the movie was the guy who wrote it.
The song is titled "I Hate You" written by the associate producer Kirk Thatcher. He was the punk on the bus.

I voted for good but that should be the last TNG film.
I was torn, but without Data it just wouldn't be the same. I'm not sure how they would make another one with the original cast when they've supposedly gone their separate ways. I guess they could reunite them like they did in All Good Things...(in the scenes when they were in the future) but since it's been done there I don't know if I care to see that again. Let's face it; they screwed up. At the very least they could have ended Nemesis with the last twenty minutes showing the crew saying their goodbyes, reminiscing, adding some jokes in there to lighten the mood before we left the theater, and giving us better closure.

Thank You Prometheus!
Anytime someone would say Nemesis is the worst Trek movie, I would tell them to go watch ST V and get back to me. I liked the scene with them by the campfire when they are singing Row Row Row Your Boat. Spock is trying to analyze the words of the song instead of singing and Mc Coy tells Spock he's supposed to just sing it to have a good time, not because of the meaning of the words. And Spock's answer is "Oh, I am sorry...were we having a good time?" Roll credits, end of movie thank you.

I just thought of this question but I myself do not have an answer as of yet. I'm not sure I could answer it unless I was actually faced with it. Anyone want to take a stab at it?
-
I would not consider them friends. I think Q found Picard interesting and after getting to know him better, developed a sort of comrade feeling toward him. He admired things in Picard that he himself did not possess. I think Picard just learned to deal with Q.

I'm going to have to go with the Vulacans on this one. I like the way they use logic and thought to define who they are. They have put great thought and energy into their way of life and their philosophies, which are based on sound judgments, and rational thinking.
True Diversity

Captain Jean-Luc Picard, I think there is a lot of diversity in ST. Can you be more specific. I know you want a Christian character but is that all? Are there other "groups" ( I use the term groups very lightly, I am at a loss at the moment for a more p.c. word)?
As for a Christian character, it doesn't bother me, as long as the story is good.
