  1. I really enjoyed this episode, and not just for THAT reason  I thought it was very entertaining, interesting, and thought-provoking, and I know I've said that about other episodes before, but that;s what makes a good star trek episodes, and that's what this episodewas. IMO, that is.

  2. I got 17, and considering I haven't seen half the episodes (ie I still haven't seen Q Who), I'm not too unhappy with it.

But for "Not counting Chief O'Brien or Worf, who was the first regular 'Star Trek: Deep Space Nine' characte to make an appearance on 'TNG'?" I thought hte answer was Quark, not Bashir...or maybe it was just armin shimmmerman as someone who wasn't Quark...???

Armin Shimmerman was in a couple of early TNG episodes but not as Quark. Bashir was in Birthright Part I when Data discovered his dream program. His appearance as Quark in Firstborn in season 7.

Ahh, I thought that might be it

  3. I'd say a tie between 3rd and 4th because whenever I have to choose a favourite, it usually comes from one of those seasons (ie offspring) and when I have to choose a favourite episode from each season, those always end up with the most on the list. without using these methods to decide, I wouldn't be able to tell, if that makes any sense...

  4. 1. I really liked Last Outpost and the Big Good=bye

    2. Measure of Man and Peak Performance

    3. Offspring, without a doubt (though Deja Q is second)

    4. This is really hard, so I'll just put the fisrt that came into my head - Brothers - though I liked many others just as much.

    5. I, Borg - loved this episode

    6. Realm of Fear

    7. I'm putting Inheritance, but I haven't actually seen that many of this season

  5. It is possible to have more than one best friend, and for them to be best friends in different ways, which is how I see Data/Geordi and Data/Picard. Although when I think of Data's best friend I always think of Geordi, Picard is also one of his, just on a different level and in a different way...

  6. Well said Prometheus.  I think that part of the bouncy cheerleader personality might have been established in the beginning to counteract the toughness of Tasha Yar.  I liked Deanna through the whole series but my favourite Deanna episodes are ones from later in the series.  I, for one, was glad when she put the uniform on in Chain of Command.

I don't hate her, although she sure grates my nerves at times, and she does have some great episodes. She's just nothing special, to me, and isn't particularly high on my list of favourite characters.

  7. I keep thinking of Picard in Tapestry when he was the Lt. - the dreary man with the dreary job is how I think he described it.

Yeah, I think in star fleet the idea is that you have to put in a lot of hours and hard work before you get the really good positions.

well, thats a good point, lol. but these people don't even get paid (and I;m not saying it's all about the money- hear me out  ) What about the people who have long, boring jobs with no breaks until night time, and they don't get time out for the holodeck, and they can't, you know, go on holiday or buy themselves something interesting. If you have a boring job on a star ship, it must be a horribly dreary life style.

  8. And Data, I could stare at that Slinky all day.  Really.  I'm not kidding.  I could.  It's so hypnotic.

Oh gosh, the slinky! It's....can't type, busy staring....

HI DSBS!!!!! Long time no see...umm, read! I agree, LOL!!!

Well, it's a little late now, but I didn;t see this post - hello again, lol!

  9. Well, I have a good mind to just not watch TNN on the one hand - I mean, I'm not a guy, so what would I be doing watching star trek? (ahhh, sarcasm. How I've missed thee)

But on the other hand who the heck are they to desegnate gender specifications to shows? I'll watch whatever the heck I want on whatever channel it's on!

As far as the future of st on TNN goes, I'm sure that if they have high enough ratings, it'll continue, maybe even grow.

  10. This is a bit off topic, but I don't want to start a completely new one, and it is a little on topic - has anyone notices TNN thinks it's turning itself into the first network for men?? I mean, honestly, what so women aren't allowed to watch now? That has to be the stupidest thing I have ever heard!! I'm not in a very ranting kind of mood right now, so I wont make this longer but ARGH!!
