  1. If you want to see a cool sequel to "The Doomsday Machine", go to www.newvoyages.com and download their fan film entitled "In Harms Way". They did an incredible job and to top it off, William Windom (Decker) even appears in it.

  2. I watched "In Harms Way" by the New Voyages group and was astounded by the quality of it. What a great job these guys did!. It puts the Starship Exeter group to shame. I too would like to see their first episode but can't find it anywhere.

  3. I'd hardly call it a great migration to here. I rarely see anyone from the Lounge in the chat room here. Most former Loungers can be found in several MSN groups. Anyway, there is also talk about a reunion of sorts of former Loungers at the StarTrek.com site in the Ready Room this Sunday at 6 pm est. By the way, the one discussed here for Friday.......what is that in est?

  4. There are only 2 directors in the ST franchise that have consistently done a great job. They are Nick Meyer and Leonard Nimoy. While Jonathan Frakes is a good actor, his lack of attention to details and general "Ed Wood" approach to directing have made the movies he's directed suffer. Frakes directing is what made "First Contact" merely a good movie rather than the grand epic it could have been.

  5. Deadwood is the best show on television today

    Other than that:

    7th Heaven

    Raw/Smackdown

    Scrubs

    Smallville

    That 70s Show

    Will & Grace

    The Apprentice

    Desparate Housewives

    Boston Legal

    Days Of Our Lives

    Passions

Didn't know if you meant current shows or shows from the past. If you include those, the list would go on forever!

  6. A pretty neat sequel of sorts to "The Doomsday Machine" was made by the New Voyages group. They are a group of fans who actually make new TOS episodes. While obviously homemade, the effects and sets are pretty decent. The episode is called "In Harms Way". I don't know how they did it, but they actually got William Windom and Barbara Luna to appear in it!. You can download the episode at www.newvoyages.com

  7. I went to The Experience a few years ago and it was a blast!. The ride is awesome! After the ride there are tons of Trek shops and of course there is Quarks. We ate there twice. I ate the "Holy Rings of Betazed" (onion rings) and the "Ribs of

Targ" (baby back ribs). They also have some cool drinks with smoke coming out of them. I had the "Warp Core Breach". In addition to all of this they have tons of props and costumes from the series and movies on display. I want to go back now to experience the Borg ride.

  8. Berman has said repeatedly that if UPN dropped Enterprise,it would not be the end of the show. I believe he has a back-up plan for another outlet for the show. Actually, it would probably be the best thing for Enterprise if UPN did drop it. If Berman sold it as a syndicated show like he did with TNG, it would potentially reach a much larger audience. A lot of markets don't even carry UPN.

  9. I am indeed a refugee from StarTrek.com. In spite of all the negative comments some of you have posted about it, I do miss it a lot. Its main attraction was that there was never less than 20 people in the room. Sometimes, there were so many people, alternate Lounges had to be made to accommadate everyone. That is the main thing I miss. Although there were spammers and some rude people, at least chat was constantly going on in there. I enjoy this site too except for the fact that hardly any of you go into the chatroom. There are exceptions of course, but most of the time the chatroom here only has a few people in it that like to lurk rather than chat.
