  1. I liked the NWO/WCW feud. When Hall and Nash first showed up in WCW it was one of the most realistic feuds in wrestling. Their departure from WWF wasn't really advertized so it was a shock to see Nash suddenly show up in WCW. Plus the fact that they played off the idea that he was perhaps sent there by the WWF to cause trouble was great. It was something that was never done in wrestling before and it worked really well for awhile. Of course, it ran its course and got boring when they had so many members in the NWO and they started forming splinter groups like the Red and Black NWO, the Wolfpack. But the very beginning of it right through the time when Hogan turned heel and joined them was one of the most entertaining feuds in wrestling.

  2. I like Pulaski a lot. In fact, I liked her much better than Crusher, who I often found to be a bit smug, just like McFadden is in real life. Even at her age, Pulaski still seemed adventurous and eager to try new things. She was a lot like McCoy, who was often gruff on the outside but had a heart of gold. As for her attitude towards Data, she seemed to warm up to him by the season's end. She did seem facinated by Data whenever he did something she didn't expect. As for her looking funny? She WAS fairly old at the time. Check out her 2 TOS appearances and you will see what a beauty she was when she was younger.

  3. I don't see much hope for Enterprise on UPN. However, in a recent interview with the Star Trek Communicator, Berman did indicate that he has a back up plan for Enterprise in the event that it gets cancelled by UPN. In fact, being cancelled by UPN could be the best thing for Enterprise. If Berman is telling the truth, it may end up going the syndication route anyway exposing Enterprise to a whole new audience. There are several instances of TV shows being cancelled by a network in the past only to show up on another network. This really could be a good thing after all.

  4. Agreed. Enterprise has improved dramatically the last 2 seasons and especially this season. All of these so-called Trek fans who refuse to watch it is doing a disservice to both themselves and to the franchise.

The first 2 seasons of TNG were marginal at best if not downright bad. We stuck with it and it too improved greatly in its 3rd season. Enterprise should be given the same opportunity

  5. thank you, capt P - too often, people forget what the word 'discussion' means - if you hadn't brought this up, i wouldn't have known about the unseemly legacy the King family is producing, i wouldn't have learned that DNA tests are only conclusive (pour le lineage) with a male descendant, and i wouldn't have had the pleasure of hearing Martin Luther King and John Kennedy referred to as contemporaries...

i learn so much from you all - one should never discredit themselves for their

opinion, or for a topic one feels is meritable - only through differences can change be procured...

    oooh, wasn't that verbose...

thank you for having the nerve to post on a sensitive issue...

any wonder why STF is the best website in NA?

  6. I suppose that his father's real name was Michael King, Sr., because his father had the same name--- Martin Luther King Sr. So who changed his name first, the father or the son, hmmm? The above sounds like propaganda straight from the Grand Dragon's mouth.

Actually, his fathers name was indeed Michael King. In 1935, Michael King announced to his congregation that he would henceforth be known as Martin Luther King and that his son would be known as Martin Luther King,Jr.

No propaganda. Just plain fact for anyone who takes the time to look it up. It always good to look up the facts before blurting out stuff. "Grand Dragon's mouth" indeed. Unbelievable

  7. Although King's message was good and correct, his motivations are suspect. His real name was Michael King. He used Martin Luther because it sounded cool. He was also a womanizer who constantly cheated on his wife with white prostitutes. He was also involved with organized crime. This is not speculation, these are facts available to anyone who wants to look it up. I prefer to honor King's message but not the man himself.

  8. Its a real shame that some wrestlers just don't know when to quit. Macho Man wrestled on the last NWA/TNA PPV and was really pathetic. Hall and Nash are there too and are equally horrible.

I also hate it when past super-stars take menial jobs with the WWE just to stay near the action. Check it out whenever the WWE send out "Security" personnel. It usually consists of Tony Garea, a former 5 time tag champ from way back, Dean Malenko, a former Horseman and cruiserweight champ, Sargeant Slaughter, former WWE champ and all around legend and Arn Anderson, legendary Horseman. These guys now just run out to break up a fight and are referred to just as "Security". Their names and status are completely downplayed. The latest travesty is that the WWE just hired on Ricky Steamboat as a road agent. How the mighty have fallen!
