Data 0 Posted December 1, 2005 This is a great episode. Poor McCoy had a rough time of it.
Kor37 9 Posted December 3, 2005 I never particularly liked this episode. It was just way too silly.

A l t e r E g o 9 Posted December 3, 2005 Me too. Shore Leave is a great episode for turning little ones onto TOS, it made Trekkers out of both our kids.
youbroughtheryouRiker 2 Posted December 27, 2006 Gave it a 5. My only complaint is that it just seemed to drag on forever.
GhostofMajorHayes 10 Posted October 7, 2007 Imo, a good ep. Neat premise about a cool "pleasure planet" is worth repeat views, the bunny and Alice in Wonderland cameos seemed a bit hokey to me, but the "death" of McCoy and his "resurrection" redeemed this ep for me. A classic hour of TOS fun. :)
oldfan1 0 Posted October 7, 2007 I thought it was a great episode, a group of us even named a convention after it. It had it's silly stuff but was an interesting idea that worked pretty well. It's better than most of the 3rd season episodes.
trekz 7 Posted October 7, 2007 One of my favorite TOS episodes. Here are some classic quotes from Memory Alpha: Memorable Quotes "A princess shouldn't be afraid – not with a brave knight to protect her." - Leonard McCoy "They act exactly like the real thing. Just as pleasant. Or just as deadly." - Spock "The more complex the mind, the greater the need for the simplicity of play." - Kirk "He's becoming irritable and quarrelsome, but he refuses to take rest or rehabilitation. Now, he has that right, but we've found..." "That crewman's right ends where the safety of the ship begins. Now, that man will go ashore on my orders. What's his name?" "James Kirk. Enjoy yourself, Captain." - Spock and Kirk "I never answer questions from plebes, Jimmy boy." "I'm not a plebe. This is today, 15 years later." - Finnegan and Kirk "Did you enjoy that, captain?" "Yes... yes, I did. After all these years, all I wanted to do was beat the tar out of Finnegan." - Spock after Kirk finishes off "Finnegan" "You stupid underclassman. I've got the edge. I'm still 20 years old. Look at you. You're an old man." - Finnegan

Stephen of Borg 2 Posted February 8, 2009 this episode has grown to be one of my favorites and I really do love it now. I used to think it was just ok, but it has really grown on me over time
