VaBeachGuy 12 Posted December 30, 2003 Sounds to me like you have some spyware or adware on the computer running. I'd suggest downloading Ad Aware and clean your system with it. http://download.com.com/3000-2094-10045910.html?legacy=cnet

ddillard 2 Posted December 30, 2003 Click on the search button at the top of your browser window. It will open a search box on the left hand side of the window. Click Customize at the top of the search box Select use on search service Choose Google from the list provided Click ok Close the search box You should now be able to use google from the address bar. If this does not work let me know there are a few other things that we can try. We are in my realm of specialty here. LOL B)
TheDoctor 0 Posted December 30, 2003 It doesn't have google in the customize thingy. Only MSN.
ddillard 2 Posted December 30, 2003 It doesn't have google in the customize thingy. Only MSN. Okay, Inside the Customize window Click on the Autosearch Settings button in the lower left hand corner of the window Then choose "Google Sites" from the first drop down window. And make sure that the second window is set to Just display results in main window. Then Click OK to exit the Autosearch Settings window Then Click OK to exit the Customize Window Then Close the search box See if that works, if not let me know and we will try again. Captain Bolivar 0 Posted December 30, 2003 Hmm that is really strange. I have problems before with my homepage. Not matter what I did, it would not work properly.. it would always change to some weird site. In the end I just reinstalled Internet Explorer. Another option you could try would be to edit the registry but I wouldn't recommend it unless you're an advanced user. I don't even mess with that thing!
