*yawns once again*

 

Pretty exhausting day today. I went to the classes I had applied for and everything seems to be okay. And guess what my English professor's name is: "O'Brien". He's an Irishman, of course, and I couldn't stop thinking about Miles O'Brien.

And I also found out that there is another English professor at my university, he or she is called "J. Stewart". Now who is that? I will find out who's using my beloved Paddy's name. Perhaps a relative of some sort?

Well, his first name's Derek (he gave us his e-mail adress, that's why I know that), but I'm already calling him Miles O'Brien when I talk about him, so, the damage is done

That's right... He's already the chancellor of a university in England, so why not becoming a professor here in English? I'd LOVE to hear and see him talking about Shakespeare... oh my... *faints at the mere thought*

Well, we have no detentions here, this is university, not school, but I am sure I could arrange a few... appointments with him in his office or something...

I was at the dentist today. Eeeew! I hated it there! *cries* I hate dentists! But I had to go there for my annual check. *shudders* But all my teeth are in perfect condition, so, no worries for me

And I'm also enjoying my first free day of the week. I'm also looking forward to the weekend, I'll meet a few friends of mine then, they're going to visit me *yay*.

I don't mind the dentist but when I had braces a couple of years ago I had to travel ages and i hated the guy- but he has done a good job though

^ Yeah I had braces as well, for a loooong time, and it was not very pleasant, to say the least. But my dentist did a good job, too, I have to say that, though I wouldn't go there again only if my life depended on it... Got a new one and he's okay.

For a dentist, that is. :blink:

Another quiet day here at home for me. The next two weeks won't be as pleasant because my mom will be home. :lol: That means I can't sit in front of the computer on Thursday and Friday afternoons. *grr* I mean, I can sit down, but not for long, she always finds something to do for me when she sees that I'm enjoying myself in front of the computer. :o :lol:

 

Next Thursday's my birthday. 22. Oh dear. I don't want to be that old. :lol:

No, I don't have any special plans. :P My birthday's gonna be on my free day, so I at least won't have to go to university. :) I don't celebrate my birthday because I'm not much into parties anyway. My mom has agreed to give me money for ordering TNG novels and I ordered them, so they're gonna be my birthday present. B)

Yeah, I remember, your birthday's one day after mine :lol: Well... I started at university, too, when I was 19... and it scared the h*ll out of me back in those days... but you get used to that, don't worry. :)

*still laughing* I was just having visitors, two internet friends of mine, and we had so much fun, it was sooooo great We talked about Star Trek and such stuff and it was so much fun to talk to "real" Trekkies, meaning, talking to them in person and not only via internet. I always enjoy those moments because they are rare. One of them actually brought a small pic of Pat with her, she cut it out from her TV newspaper, just for me... that was soooooo nice, I added it to my wall immediately. :blink:

Today's been a calm day so far. I watched a few X Files episodes and a movie and now I'm gonna look for a few books I need for university.

Well, I'll have to leave the comp soon because I need to go to bed much earlier than usual. Tomorrow's one of those "I have to get up early" - days.

Oh dear. *yawns* I had to get up soooo early today. *shudders*

 

But I at least met another great person at university. My other professor, the one from the other English class (not that O'Brien guy) is from England, meaning: Yorkshire <_< He opened his mouth and said one sentence and I was like: OH MY GOSH, now where do I know that accent from... :angry: I could have listened to him for hours! :o

College in the states is different than in England. When you refer to college it is called high school in the States. When someone from the states says that they are going to college it is the same as someone going to the university. University in the states are very large.
