Kor37 9 Posted May 28, 2008 Kool-Aid Retooled for Healthier TimesBy LAUREN SHEPHERD,AP Posted: 2008-05-28 13:36:02 NEW YORK (May 27) - Kraft Foods Inc. has reformulated several of its Kool-Aid drinks and launched a new Kool-Aid water beverage to revitalize the brand and bring it more in line with Kraft's nutritional guidelines. http://www.aolcdn.com/aolnews_photos/00/01...528124409990073 The company said it added antioxidant vitamin E to its sugar-sweetened Kool-Aid formula and changed its formula for its Kool-Aid Singles so that one packet can be used to flavor 17 ounces of water. Previously, two packets were needed. Kraft also said its sugar-free Kool-Aid products have been reformulated to taste closer to regular unsweetened Kool-Aid. Most of the drinks already fell under Kraft's nutritional guidelines introduced in 2005, which call for limited amounts of sugar, calories, fat and sodium and "meaningful" amounts of vitamins and nutrients. The sugar-sweetened variety, though, did not meet the criteria until the addition of vitamin E, Kraft said. The company said the changes were based, in part, on consumers wanting healthier options for their children. "Our consumers have been telling us for a couple of years now they are looking for choices that meet their family's needs," said Kirstie Krall, senior brand manager for Kool-Aid. Kraft also is launching a new ready-to-drink flavored water beverage called Kool-Aid Burstin' Waters that come in a three flavors. The caffeine-free drink has 35 calories per serving and meets Kraft's nutritional guidelines, the company said. The new and reformulated drinks were shipped to stores in January and are now on shelves. Now With 1/3 Less Cyanide!!!.....

MrPsychic 1 Posted May 29, 2008 Now With 1/3 Less Cyanide!!!..... Actually Kor, that was Flavor Aid, Kool-Aid's cheap knockoff. Guess that was before cults could afford all those brand new Nike's they needed for the afterlife.

Theunicornhunter 2 Posted May 30, 2008 Why? Would you make it with sulpher water UCK :koolaid: I might have mentioned I grew up in rural Florida - emphasis on the rural part - some people's wells came up sulphur water. Even now I know someone whose contractor drilled a sulphur well and they had to buy a special conditioning unit to put on their well. (I also the name of a well driller to NOT recommend  )
Itchygomba69 0 Posted May 30, 2008 (edited) (Offensive contents removed - AE) The water is alot better in FL the further south you go, like Orlando and stuff, they have newer pipes Edited June 1, 2008 by Alterego
Theunicornhunter 2 Posted May 30, 2008 The water is alot better in FL the further south you go, like Orlando and stuff, they have newer pipes actually, people who have wells don't have to worry about city water - so water is just fine in Northern Florida - if you have a well.
