All of these people have had a good reputation of writing classic Trek novels, most with multiple hits. Who's your favorite? To me, I think THE Star Trek author that more times than not gives us a good read is Diane Duane. An amazing author and definitely gets my vote. I know that I forgot some, so vote other and tell who your favorite is!

All of these authors are good. I personally like Keith Candido. His novels always keep me interested. Also, how could you leave out David R. George, a member of this site?.... :nono: ..... :dude:

All are wonderful authors, but my favorite of the bunch is The Shat!

I have read all of his Trek Books and really enjoyed each one of them.

Welcome to the boards, Mr. George.

I look forward to your posts.

OH NO!.... :P

Now David is doubly insulted by being mistaken for a newbie! David has been a member here for 3 years!

My mistake. I neglected to look at his joining date. :blush 2:

Not a big deal...I was just having some fun with you anyway. There hasn't been a lot of book chatter around here lately, at least none to which I've been able to add to the discussion, so I thought I'd just stick my head in and say "hello."

Hello.

Hope everybody is doing well. And please, call me David.

Guest Ktrek

I have Four favorite authors in the Star Trek realm:

David R. George III - His novels are quite well written and always interesting and entertaining.

Keith R.A. DeCandido - He always makes me laugh and he is quite imaginative

Peter David - He has been a long time Trek writer and his New Frontier series is well worth the read, but his TNG novels are some of the best ever written.

Christopher L. Bennett - He has the potential to write the definitive Star Trek novel. Probably one of the most detail oriented novelists I have read.

Dillard.

I have recently read his last novel, "Resistance", with Picard as protagonist.

It is full of action...

Dillard.

Just so you know, J. M. Dillard is Jeanne Dillard, a woman.

You'll notice that we make an occasional mistake every now and then here. :look:

Yeah, gotta go with David R. George III. His McCoy story in the Crucible series is pure genius. :D
