emoticons? how can I add my own?

I've seen some emoticons on some posts that I don't see on the left hand side of the screen when I'm posting. If I have some of my own,how can I post them on my messages?

Using the "IMG" code tag paste the address of the gif in to create this:

 

[IMG=http://www.gifs.net/animate/starship.gif]

 

Without using the "code" code tag the above becomes:

 

 

IMPORTANT! be sure to erase the "http://" that appears when you click the IMG button from the code window or it will malfunction if the address you are pasting in already has the http connected.

I believe several people have something called a emotipad? that has a lot of those smilies in it.

I have Emotipad too and it rocks!! After you buy it you can add any smilie or gif that you have to it so you aren't limited to the ones they supply. I love it!

..I also posted a question as to where users get their emoticons somewhere on the board some time ago and got Emotipad and lots more..lemme see if I can root around and find that for ya.

Make sure you save your keycode. Sometimes when I restart my computer I have to re-enter my keycode and username.

I'm just testing out some smilies. I don't have Emotipad but I have something like it called Getsmile and I uploaded some smilies I found and want to see if they work. I haven't registered it yet and thats why the ones that came with it say DEMO.
