He Who Shall Not Be Named 2 Posted August 6, 2008 I think I know why left socks always disappear. Think about it. Every time you do laundry the left socks are matched with a different right sock. Sure having different mates every few days can be fun for a while, but after that you want to lay down roots and you can't. Your existence becomes rather vacant. Who wouldn't get depressed after constantly saying goodbye to your mate, however brief your time together is, knowing it is blind luck if you see each other again?
