~ What Offends You? ~

What offends your sensibilities? What do you find so outrageous that it makes you sick? For me it's any form of cruetly to animals. Or to people as a whole. There IS 'child' abuse, but there is also 'adult' abuse. Other things, not normallly talked about may offend some people too. Like I find it offensive to put the bible on the floor, or the American flag. I believe that is a criminal offense in some states. Needless infliction of pain on another person too. Either mentally or physically. I just can't stand it. Torture makes ME want to kill myself. Either hearing about it or reading about it, or seeing it. I have seen people torture animals in my life. Those images have never left my memory. :blink:

 

These are the Extreme Examples I have just mentioned. But there are alot of other examples, I'm sure.

I agree with you Jeanway, animal tourture is so unbeliveably sick and wrong!

Another thing that ticks me off is that I had to give up my dog and cat when I moved and it broke my heart because I don't know if they are ok or not and I don't know if they are being fed enough or getting the love that they deserve. And that ticks me off because I know that if they are in way being hurt then I would travel all the way a crossed the state and take them away from it but I can't! I can't because I don't know who they went to....and not knowing if my two best animal friends are ok just makes me worried and mad that I can't be there and take care of them and play with them and grow old with them.... :blink: It just frustrates me that I had to give them up because of a member of my family's demented and totally uncalled for hatred of me and my animals :lol: :P :P :(

Also people who are intolerant of others, people are people where ever you go and nothing can change that...EVER! And if someone is being intolerant then I just want to thwap that person upside the head and tell them to stop being so thick! :)

People attacking me and calling me stupid if I say I'm conservative. People making fun of me because I'm Chinese. Abortion. People complaining that they don't make enough money while they sit there on their but watching t.v. the whole time while they complain about rich doctors who work 8-12 years just to be qualified to become a physician. Sick of people who complain that rich doctors don't do anything. Tired to people who say that rich people are lazy. I consider my parents rich. i

'm grateful for their sacrfice to come here to the United states with nothing and bgo to medical school. Both of them. Now they can live with the peace that they could achieve the american dream. People who want to make the U.S. a socialistic country that encourages people to be lazy. People who try to teach politics in the classroom.

People mistreating children and animals are my two biggest ones!

 

Also people who act like everyone is there to serve them, drunk drivers and a long list of other things.

 

Racism is another big one... I spent a bit of time in New Orleans last year and was very uncomfortalbe (to saythe least) about people's attitudes.

 

I'm an easy-going person, no dirty joke can shock me... but people's behaviour sometimes is completely inexcuseable! :angry:

Conformity offends me. I hate the opinion so many people have today that everyone should like the same things, dress the same way, listen to the same music... that is probably one of my biggest issues with modern human society. I often do something different precisely because it makes me stand out, even if only regarded as a "freak." Shallow people also offend me, sort of along those same lines.

People who Gloat and Brag. You tell someone your having a problem with

 

something then they procede to tell you how they don't. Then they go on and on

 

about how wonderful THAT situation is in THEIR life. :angry: I don't know WHY they

 

think that will make you feel better. That just makes me feel worse.

 

That's 'COMPARING not 'IDENTIFYING'. And makes me not want to talk with that

 

person again. THAT OFFENDS ME VERY MUCH :) :lol:

I loathe selfishness and self-centeredness more then anything else. I believe it is destroying our society. 'Me first," "Us four and no more," ...that mentality. I think it is possible to look out for one's own interests, but not to the exclusion of all else. You always should consider the impact of what you do on others.

 

I also regret that many people cannot take correction or learn from their own mistakes, or admit when they are wrong. Some of my best experience in life have come when I was wrong, able to see it, able to admit it, and able to apologize, and not repeat it. Some of the saddest situations I see are folks doing the same wrong thing over and over again, and unable or unwilling to get out of the selfish and destructive loop. Pride is ugly. Pride blinds the one who is always right in his own eyes.

I'm pretty much desensitized to so many things, but people causing unnessary abuse and torment to other people and to animals still makes me weep.
