Captain Airies letter to home. My dearest wife, I miss you so. They say space is a void, then my heart is made of space because being here without you is like a void. I send my love through the cosmos to you my dearest. I should not have taken this mission, I did not realize the lonlieness without you by my side. The photo I have is like an arrow piercing my soul! At night I dream of a galaxy where your eyes are the stars and the Universe worships the night. When I awake there is nothing but the stars and that terrible void. I count the days that I will return and can be in your arms again. Well my dear we are about to be put back into hybernation for the long trip home. I hope I dream of you. When you need me just look up at the stars and know I am coming home! See you in 8 months. Your beloved husband.

Airies

XOXOXOXO

~~A Letter To My Love On Earth~~

My Dearest Love,

We're traveling faster than light but it's not fast enough to ease the ache in my heart. The light years separating us seem like a vast abyss. I long to reach for you and hold you in my arms again. I close my eyes and I can feel your warmth, hear the beating of your heart. I almost catch a hint of your perfume in the recycled air and my heart leaps with the impossible hope that you're here. You're with me in my heart and in my dreams. Sometimes I think if I can wake up fast enough than you'll be here with me or if I can only stay asleep we can be together again, at least in my dreams. I know that this ship is heading back to Earth, that I'm coming home to you but the wait tears at my heart. I know we'll be together again soon. Until I can hold you in my arms I'll hold you in my heart. I Love you.

THE DANCE IS NEVER DONE

In the beginning,

there was silence

Until God taught the wind

to whistle through the rippling grass

And echo in the highest mountain pass

He taught the mocking bird to sing

And the tiny thrush, the trill

that's carried on the still morning air

He taught the leaves to rustle in the breeze

And the thunder, its sonorous rumble

He taught the waters of the world their rolling beat

as they lap against the shores

When all of nature knew their parts to play,

God taught the art of the dance

The sun does a stately promenade

across the arc of day

A wallflower, the moon will never be;

For the stars line up to partner her

in the night's minuet

The planets all fall in line for their dance

of synchronized turning and timing

As the dance of the dawn;

between the stars and the sun,

goes on and on

Life's dance is never done

From the first step,

in the moment just before birth;

when the soul comes spinning down to earth

Spinning down through time

to find the ones chosen to instruct

Through mating dances,

loving dances, and leaving dances;

Our feet continue to find the steps

Our hearts to feel the beat

The dance is never done

Even when living and dying become one

For death is but a segue

to another world

Another way of life

With a different partner

by your side

NB I am an elf in this been watching way more LOTR than is sanely good

)

Dear lover mine.

I battle long and tirelessly the bridges of space to devot my life to yours. I will leave this fragile immortality for an even more fragile mortality. Not even the stars can burn as bright as the love you hold in your heart of mine.

Watch the stars for one crries my spirit to yours and forever they shall be entwined.

Mereneth,

(Told you I had watched too much LOTR)
