RikerChick's Personal Logs

I don't know if it's the change of seasons or what but the last few days I've felt like I was in a fog. I can't seem to keep my mind on anything, can't remember anything I'm supposed to be doing...well ok, that's normal for me, but I mean worse than usual. :wow::wow:

huggles back at ya debbie

OUCH!!!!! That must hurt worse than runing into a fence of barbed wire *shivers at the thought of all the blood and skin hanging from the fence* Hope you get better.

Just noticed the lite RC in the cornor of the movie banners, I think it looks cool.

I soaked it in bactine, that helped.

I hate the flu. When I wrap up in the blanket I'm too hot, when I take the blanket off I start shivering. Paul wanted a cup of milk and just pouring the milk sent me running for the bathroom (with a very confused 2 year old right behind me). I'm hungry but the thought of food makes me feel green. krank2.gif

They're not doing very good at predicting the highs in Phoenix lately. Yesterday the high was 105 and it reached 110. Today was supposed to top at 104 and it's 108 right now. :wow:

Sorry to hear that you feel unwell RC. :dude: I hope that you feel better soon. Remember to drink plenty, it's easy to get dehydrated when you have a temperature and feel sick. Sorry, lecture over, I can't help myself *Delta thwacks self on head*. Take care RC. *massive, but gentle hugs*.

The flu is going around my wife had stomach flu Friday and I had to take both my girls home from church yesterday, they both got sick right in the middle of the sermon. Don't worry they made it to the bathroom  I just pray that I don't get it cause I can't afford to miss work.

Whew 108 degrees, how do you stand it. It's been in the 80's here and I am miserable of course we have humidity, your's is a dry heat isn't it? :dude:

Thanks everyone. 143764.gif I'm still sick but feeling a little better then yesterday. I better feel a whole lot better by tomorrow because I've got a lot to do and Robert will be home to watch the kids so I don't have to drag them out with me.

Yeah it's a dry heat (except during monsoon season, but that's over now). Besides I'm just used to it, I've lived here since '93. I'm going to be positively giddy when it gets down to the 80's. It's still in the 90's after midnight for now. I don't understand how people can handle cold winters. 60 degrees is jacket weather around here. Anyone walking around in a t-shirt then is either nuts or a snowbird. :dude:

:dude: I love the 60 degree weather. I don't like really cold weather, but fall is my favorite time of year. Nice and brisk mornings, trees changing colors, something magical about fall I like. Maybe it's my Irish blood that desires the cooler weather.

Get some rest so you can get better!

I am so far behind on reading logs. :) I just haven't had the time to read each entry like usual.

I now have almost 300 GB on my computer. :P Lots of space for all my pics and music.

I have so much cleaning to do tomorrow around the house. :)

It's supposed to drop down to the 90's by the end of the week. :)

I forgot to call both my doctor and my best friend today like I was supposed to :)

I'm not looking forward to this biopsy, but on the other hand I really want to know. :)

I really love this house. :wow:

I got a great pair of jeans today but it took me 3 hours to find them. I think the fashion industry has no concept of what a real woman's body looks like. We are not all 6 feet tall with teeny tiny waists and no hips. :)

I can't stop yawning. :)

This log entry certainly is random isn't it? :)

A sister shares the memories of

yesterday,the joys of today and

the hopes of tomorrow.

:) *Huggles* :)

P.s hang told me all about finding jeans that fit i know all about that shops like to think we are all thin and not round at the hips :)

{{RC}}

Good luck with your biopsy. You are in my thoughts!

And I agree totally that stores should really care pants for more shapes/sizes of women! I had to buy a couple pair of work pants last week and it was pure misery finding them in a size that fit the waist and wasn't too long! I normally buy mens pants because they size them by length as well, but it won't fly with the dress code.

Thanks everyone *group hug* Actually my biopsy isn't even this week, I was just thinking about it when I posted. :o

I feel like going for a drive but I can't because I've had a few beers. Phooey. Probably better anyway, I'm in one of those moods where if I got on the freeway I probably wouldn't stop till I hit Vegas.

So anyway, this morning (waaaay too early in the morning) somebody is knocking on the front door. I decided to lay in bed till they go away but they didn't go away. So I get out of bed swearing to rip the head off of whoever is on the other side. I'm not somebody you want to be around first thing in the morning. Anyway it's the gas man. I had locked the back gate and he couldn't get in the backyard to read the meter. So I go out back, barefoot, in my pajamas, hair sticking up all over the place and unlock the gate for him and the first thing he says is "Oh hi Mandy, how are you doing?" :P <---Me staring at this guy trying to figure out how he knows my name. Then he says "We've really missed you at Coco's". (Coco's is a restaurant I was a server at) I haven't worked at Coco's in over 4 years. I recognized him after he said that, he was one of my regular customers, he would always ask for my station, but I can't believe he remembered me.

In case you're wondering, there was no point to that story. I'm just rambling for no reason. :(

I've been there before RC. I had a guy come up to me in a book store about 2 or 3 years a ago and said Hi. I looked at him with a blank stare :P he said don't you remember me? I said uh no. He was kinda mad. After 5 minutes of him shoving his face closer to mine I said who are you. He told me we sat together in the 5th grade! I couln't believe he recognized me. I even sport a Riker beard now. I was like oh yeah Jim. But I still had no clue who this guy was. Weird!

One of the trials of having toddlers, they take forever on the toilet. Rachael's been sitting there forever trying to decide if she has to go or not. Right now only one toilet in the house is working and mommy would really like to use it sometime tonight. That bouncy star is taking on a whole new meaning. 146644.gif

Yikes! The only thing, I think, that is worse is when Astro thinks that he has to go when its a down pouring outside. A wet dog doesn't smell very good.

Yikes! My little one's still got a while to go before we start potty training. I'm looking forward to it... nervously.

Well I can mark tonight down as the most terrifying night of my life. The police just left my house about 20 minutes ago. We couldn't find Rachael anywhere. One minute she was playing in her room and the next we're tearing the house apart calling her, searching the back yard, searching the garage, she's nowhere and we're not getting any reply. Robert got in the car and was going through the neighborhood with a flashlight calling her. I called 911 and they had cars out looking for her with their search lights within 2 minutes *huggles wonderful police and wonderful 911 dispatcher who calmed me down* Get this, she had crawled under our bed and fell asleep. :o :P I was shaking so bad when I found her I could barely pick her up. I've only just now managed to stop crying and my hands are still shaking.
