Ted Raimi probably gained immortality in fan-dom as Joxer in the Xena series. Before that he was on Seaquest - which has direct ST links; William Shatner and Tim Russ both guest starred. He also had a role in Spiderman - which you may have noticed was directed by older brother Sam Raimi. Trying to think of someone who won't be either too hard or too easy is hard.
