Captain Bolivar 0 Posted March 12, 2004 Time: The progression of events (exists in the 4th dimension) Space: The area in which matter exists. Matter is spread out over 3 dimensions. Matter also may have different locations depending of the 4th dimension (ie: a car is here in one minute and the next it is down the street) Geez, these are truely hard to explain. Jeanway 0 Posted March 17, 2004 (edited) The best definition I could find, Was that stated by Albert Einstien { oh Man, I'm thinking in rhyme} again OK, he said: Time is " that which a clockface, indicates ", {another one} :) Space, I'm still working on that one. :) Edited March 17, 2004 by Jeanway
WEAREBORG4102 0 Posted March 17, 2004 space: The Final Frontier.... lol first three dimensions, lenght, width, and breadth... when applying the 4th dimension (of time), distorted so that we can only experience time in one direction........ STrings? Quantum foam? Time is theoretically the fourth, fifth, and sixth dimension..... Could be expressed as the elusive tachyon or chronaton..... Maybe strings... Read stephen Hawking's The Universe in a nutshelll...
Jeanway 0 Posted March 17, 2004 So your applying the String Theory in referrence to space? I heard that only referred to as the 4th dimension. That folds back on itself thus producing wormholes and singularities. What are your thoughts concerning blackholes in the 4th dimension?

WEAREBORG4102 0 Posted March 18, 2004 Blackholes imho in the the fouth dimension would create a a quantum causality loop that would intersect on the fifth dimensional plane..... This would warp both the fourth and fifth dimensional intersect....

stoned_vulcan 0 Posted March 18, 2004 time is a constant demension that moves in one direction. Time is a way for us to measure how long things take, it is an organisational tool Space is precieved to have more dimensions in time since you can move in more directions than you can in time. Space is everything around us.
Q stole my bike 0 Posted March 27, 2004 time: no idea, really. What is now? If now is really now then by the time that you think "now" and your mind processes the imformation "now" is gone, and in the past...wow...confusing...I guess you could think of it like how a "moment" is 0 units of time...time is irrelevant space: the area that stuff sits in? I like Fenriz's definition...
