Just like the other games. Name a well known book that starts with the last letter of the book named before you. Name the author if you can.

And that was our report from Amsterdam

BEANS
Out at my cousin's ranch
we get to eat cowboy food.
I take aunty's advice and fill my plate twice,
'cause mostly it tastes real good.
But when my aunt and uncle
cook up their cowboy beans,
I only submit to sample a bit,
'cause they burn right down to your spleen.
They've got hot sauce and jalapenos,
red peppers and green, I think,
cayenne for flavour and garlic to savour
one taste and you'll need a drink!
Once I fed Rover my beans
his eyes and his nose sprung a leak,
he hung out his tongue, took off on a run
and didn't come back for a week!
If you visit my cousin's ranch,
you're safe with the chili and stew,
but you'll make it routine, to turn down those beans
if you know what's good for you.

Are you a fan of it or are you a cowboy or a cowboy poet? The cowboy poetry I have heard is usually hysterical. Very base or earthy so I hope no one will get offended by this. Here is a short explaination of it.
Cowboy poetry is rhymed, metered verse written by someone who has lived a significant portion of his or her life in Western North American cattle culture. The verse reflects an intimate knowledge of that way of life, and the community from which it maintains itself in tradition. "All cowboy poets live in the rural West. At the center of the tradition are the men who spend the majority of their time horseback, keeping track of grazing cattle and moving them to market. Many of today's poets are ranch housewives, ranch owners, auctioneers, rodeo cowboys, dude wranglers, and people that hold down eight-hour workaday jobs but raise cattle on the side."
Cowboy Poetry
The round-ups, the brandings,
The calvings are done,
As ranchers sell out
And move on one by one.
We must tell the stories,
So memories live on,
Past time when the tellers
Themselves are long gone.

"Look what I've got." Chakotay said to Janeway as he came through the cabin door amid a tangle of green branches. " I thought it might cheer up the nest a bit if I hung these up on the frame of the nest for the babies to climb on." Janeway just smiled and watched him weave the branches across and around the canopy of the monkey's nest. As soon as he was done the babies as well as Rom, Rem and Sam and Delilah were climbing up on them. "That was a nice idea." Janeway said asshe held her back and threw another log onto the fire.
-
Janeway continued her blood testing, as usual, for the virus's progress. It was still present and the counts were increasing. Janeway had bad days as did Chakotay. Janeway's were especially bad because of her prenancy. Chakoktay didn't complain on his.
The winter here on "New Earth" continued. Janeway not able to get around to forage for roots and greens like she was before, Chakotay took up that task for her. The stores of meat were feeding them well, as well as the monkeys. Pip and Tag were growing rapidly as well as Rommy and Remmy were nearly full grown by now.
On occasion there were brief periods of storm-like conditions when the roof of the cabin as well as the ground around it were pelted with small stones. An occurance neither of them could explain nor understand. The attributed it to the long line of strange occurances that had been happening over the past year.

It's 7:12 A.M., September 11, 2004.
Three year anniversary of the worst man-made disaster to hit the United States on her own shores. This is not a good day for any of us. I watched a T.V. program last night about an investigation of President Bush. They are saying he could have prevented what happened. I thought that issue was finally resolved????
I watched it and it still looks to me like he had no definate idea as to what was going to happen, just bits and pieces. But hind-sight IS always 20/20 and now it all makes sense. President Bush isn't a Sooth-Sayer or Fortune-Teller, why won't they let this rest? They are still playing the Blame-Game, which in my opinion only prolongs a bad situation and hurts more people.
The Barometric Pressure is holding at 30.00. A nice day weather-wise, I hope. But of course, I have to go to work today.

Looking out at the September 11th morning sky and remembering
-
h4h4
-
I haven't had a day since that day, three years ago when terrorism was heralded into this great country of ours. I look up at the September sky now, remembering how blue it was that morning. And how clear it was. I can't look at clouds now without thinking about those clouds of smoke that rose that day. Or hear a jet going overhead with thinking of that day. I look at people with suspicion now that I never had before that day. I will NOT consider flying again since that day. Or going to a crowded event since that day. I've even heard of parents who had babies born on that day change their birth dates on the birth certificate. I live each day now as if it were my last. Things certainly did change on that day.
