I don't even try anymore. I have "Kitchen Scissors"
-
The longest I've ever gone without coffee is 4 days. That 4th day just busted my chops.
-
Sometimes I have to work on the week-ends but I'm usually done by 2:00 so 4:00 Eastern for me will work just fine. Which would be 3:00 in the Mid-West.
-
I've missed you too when you haven't been around, remember?
-
OK, Aries, here goes.
When I first saw it I
I couldn't believe my eyes. It was a 1700th Century
Ship sitting in the Harbour. So I called the :cops: who notified the Coast Guard. They boarded the ship and found out it was actually a masqerade party and everyone was drinking and dancing
, so the cops joined right in and everyone got drunk and thrown overboard.
OK?
Here's some for the next contestant.
:worthy: :toot:  :phone1:
OK, Just so everyone knows this. We can't have more than ten, that's 10 smilies on one post.

That is sooooo good, Aires
Want to try another one????
O.K. I'll give you 3 to 5 smilies and you make up a sentence, grammatically correct or not, I'm off the clock on this one. O.K.? For anyone who wants to do this, just go ahead, then leave 3 more smilies for the next person. Here are the 4 I choose:

WAYS I'VE TRIED TO CUT BACK:
1. Use smaller cups. But then I'd refill them
2. Drink tea instead. But then I'd drink twice as much tea.
3. Dump the cup out when I had only drank half.
4. Use half hot water and half coffee from the pot.
5. Use more cream or milk. :(
6. Put tea bags in the coffee maker basket instead of coffee.
NONE OF THESE THINGS HELPED SO I JUST STOPPED DOING THEM.
DON'T EVEN TALK TO ME ABOUT DE-CAF

Mornin to ya Airies. It's another Glorious August morning in September here in the Mid-West. Predicted high of 85 today.{ Another Lake day for me.}
The Barometric Pressure is at 29.9 and holding steady, there is no wind. The sun is streaking across my arm and my lap and it feels wonderful.

Moonstone comes in colorless, white, yellow, orange, and gray. It always has a white or blue sheen. That is, moonstone reflects light in a distinctive shimmering phenomenon known as adularescence. Moonstone has a hardness of 6.

As Janeway sat there waiting a familiar sensation overtook her. The ground again began to vibrate and shake. Sitting there alone she became very frightened and began calling for Chakotay even though he was well out of earshot. Yet she continued to call him. The remaining snow that clung to the branches began to fall onto the ground all around the cabin and at the very same time small stones began swirling around in mid air in front of her. This further agitated her and she began to scream even louder.
When from the forest emerged something she didn't recognize. A great animal, covered with black fur and gleaming red eyes, standing on it's hind legs was walking menacingly towards Janeway. She jumped up off the log and ran in to the cabin door and slammed it shut then placed the large wooden bolt across the inside. Then she went silent, hoping this Thing would go away. She scrambled around looking frantically for her phaser, and once she found it, set it on kill and sat on the hearth in front of the fireplace facing the door. She sat there and waited.
Outside she could hear the animals grunt's and roars as it tore through their posessions. Since there were no windows in the cabin she had no way to watch. She wondered perhaps if the carcass they had left in the forest, now thawed was attracting hungry animals. Or perhaps her screaming for Chakotay attracted it. Either way it didn't matter at this point, she had to remain quiet and hope that it would leave.

As the winter wound down , the days grew longer and Janeway, Chakotay and Sam and his little family began to venture outside more. The temperatures rose and the snow melted. The signs of springtime on "New Earth" were everywhere. The songbirds returned, the forest floor began to explode with new growth and the partially frozen stream ran freely again. Janeway decided a good cleaning was in order for the cabin. And of course Chakotay did whatever she asked him to do. She was nesting. Her time was drawing closer and according to her's and the Doctor's computations she would be a mother in about six weeks.
One warm morning as she and Chakotay were dragging the beds, blankets, lockers, lab equipment, and the skin from the animal that had fed them for the past 4 months outside to be washed and to dry in the sunshine, the tri-corder chirped. "Captain? Captain?" was heard from inside the cabin. It was Tuvok. The babies, Pip and Tag were now fully functional and attacked the tri-corder thinking it was a small animal, and ran out the door and into the forest with it. This was their first display of independence and Chakotay took off after them followed close behind by a screaming Sam and Delilah, Remmy and Rommy. Janeway, too big now to join in the chase sat down on a log and waited for them all to come back.

in The Cotton Candy Factory
Posted
OH, I'm sorry RC. But maybe next time you should just stay out of the Coffee thread til you get over the hump. Each time I try I learn what NOT to do next time. Like trying to quit smoking.
I still drink coffee and I still smoke.
I'm not doing so well either.
And eat too much sugar and don't get enough exercise. AW Crap. :helpsmilie:
