This news just in from http://www.TrekUnited.com
Click For SpoilerOne week after the surprising contribution of three benefactors from the space flight industry that boosted the fund to sponsor production of Star Trek: Enterprise season 5 to more than three million dollars, the TrekUnited campaign has made further progress concerning its goal to keep Star Trek alive and Star Trek: Enterprise on air.On Monday, contributions passed $3,100,000 thanks to the dedicated support from fans around the world. No other fan campaign has ever achieved to raise such an amount of money before, and with your dedicated help, we'll continue to make history.
Early last week, the paper work to make TrekUnited an incorporation was finalized, ensuring that we are to be taken seriously as an official sponsor of the show.
Following world-wide rallies and the stunning 3m$ contribution, TrekUnited entered discussions with Paramount later that week. TrekUnited had been approached by the exclusive rights holder of the Star Trek franchise last Wednesday. While the legal negotiations take time and are of course strictly confidential, updates will be released as soon as possible and agreed upon by both parties.
With these developments, the decision of tearing down the Star Trek: Enterprise sets with the official end of production on March 8th has been reversed. All sets are now on "hold and fold" status, meaning that they will stay right where they are until further notice. All actors and members of the creative crew are still under contract while the fate of Star Trek: Enterprise is being considered.
Within the following weeks, TrekUnited will continue to work on making an impression on Paramount, actively encouraging them to offer the show to networks and cable channels. In a recent article in the Boston Herald, SpikeTV spokeswomen Debra Fazio expressed an interest of her channel to broadcast first-run Enterprise episodes, if it is offered.
Every fan can help to convince the decision-makers to reconsider the future of Star Trek and Star Trek: Enterprise, to produce a fifth season and shop the show around: via Paypal, check, Western Union and wire contributions to our sponsor fund, with writing letters, faxing and calling, with joining our campaign and making an impact now. With the united efforts of Star Trek and science fiction fans around the world, we can make sure that the Star Trek saga, that has given so many hope and inspiration for the last four decades, will continue to thrive and boldly go where no one has gone before.

This adds to the hope that the show will be saved and we should not give up yet!!!
