I was watching X-Play about the game and I must say what they said.
1. I will never ask for "Hot Coffee" again.
2. "If your ten and your mommy buys you this game you should be more worried about then the game!"
It's only a game and like other things that you must be a cirten age to buy them, it's your choice!

Ken Schram Commentary: Thank You, Pat O'HareJuly 29, 2005
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE - Say thanks to Pat O'Hare. He's the owner of the Brookside Gardens apartments. That's where Deanna Wallace lives. She's the woman who was brusquely ordered to take down the American flag that was displayed on her third floor patio. Deanna had hoisted the Stars and Stripes as a way to honor her son, who is serving over in Iraq, and to support her army sweetheart, who's busy building roads in Afghanistan. The property managing company in charge at Brookside had decided they didn't care why Deanna had a flag flying, they just wanted it taken down. Anyway, O'Hare emailed me in response to the commentary I did (read it here) slamming the property managers, and offering to provide flags for every renter at the apartment complex. I called Mr. O'Hare and learned he wanted to take my up on my flag offer. He says he genuinely regrets the way Deanna Wallace was treated. He also says that if I send him the flags, he'll see to it that they're distributed to all 52 tenants for them to display on their patios. Consider that done. In addition, O'Hare says he's looking into erecting a large, illuminated flag on the property. Pat O'Hare comes across as a decent guy who just wants to do the right thing. Deanna Wallace excitedly said to tell him "Thanks!" So: Thanks Mr. O'Hare. Want to share your thoughts with Ken Schram? You can e-mail him at kenschram@komo4news.com

Ken Schram Commentary: Fly That Flag, DeannaJuly 28, 2005
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE - It's not like she hung her underwear out to dry. She just wanted to fly the flag on her patio. It was in honor of her son, who's serving over in Iraq. It was in support of her Army sweetheart, who's building roads over in Afghanistan. Then along comes some prissy, rule-bound, over-zealous apartment house manager. Seems the American flag is deemed unacceptable in the world of Allied Group Inc. of Renton, which manages the property where Deanna Wallace rents her apartment. Citing some obscure, dictatorial regulations, Deanna - and her disabled vet neighbor - were ordered to take their American flags down. Deanna did. Then she got ticked off and put it back. Now, I suspect that the Allied Group Inc. of Renton is anally concerned about uniformity on its property. Which brings me to the following suggestion: I will provide small American flags to every renter at the Brookside Gardens Apartments, if those renters agree to fly the flags on their patio. Do it to support Deanna Wallace. Do it because it's the right thing to do. Or do it for no other reason than to let the Allied Group Inc. of Renton know that you think they're morons. Listen to the report here. This will be my last posting of Ken Schram for about a week due to the fact my laptop is in need of repairs. So, what do you think?

What I think is, if not broke don't fix! It has been winter break for over 20 years and I think they could use the time talk about this and use it to help get the 2008 class ready for the W.A.S.L. A state test that if not passed by a student in the class of 2008 or higher will not graduate... the test is taken during the 10th grade year so that would mean this coming spring.

Ken Schram Commentary: It's Christmas In JulyJuly 26, 2005
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE - It's really just a tiny step. But at this point, I'll take anything as progress. The South Kitsap School Board has decided that the two weeks off from the end of December into January will no longer officially be called "Winter Break." It'll now be known by what most people have always called it: "Christmas Break." I might have missed this appreciated departure from the world of rampant political correctness were it not for the blah-blah-blah e-mails I started getting from folks whining about how this violates the separation of church and state. Please, spare me! I am so damn weary of the lunatic fringe on the left and right squeezing everyone in the middle. I'm just flat fed up with those who think nothing religious can even be in the vicinity of a classroom; flat fed up with those who think that organized prayer should be incorporated into every students classroom day. There is NOTHING wrong with acknowledging a religious holiday that also has strong cultural aspects. So that sound of clapping you hear is me applauding the members of the South Kitsap School Board. Yeah, it's just a tiny step. But in one little corner of the world, it means the social lemmings have been stopped at the edge of the cliff. Want to share your thoughts with Ken Schram? So... what do you think?

I personally hate smoking and after living with smokers all my life I have breathing problems and I'm only 19. Some do mind the non-smokers, but others just light up 5 more just for the heck of it. As for what Mr. Schram is talking about I would have to go with him on this... I rather have the people say what I can or cannot do rather then a few old people coming up with new ways to blow tax payer money.

I stopped watching most TV after the start of reallity TV, then I only watch UPN for Smackdown after they gave the boot to Enterprise, and now I just don't find WWE as great as it was when I was 10... it's all because of reallity TV and UPN!

Star Trek would be in better hands with the fans then Paramount!

Schram Commentary: Indoor Smoking Bans Are A Real DragJuly 25, 2005
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE - Think it's bad here? Check out New Jersey. Lawmakers in the "Garden State" are trying to pass a law making it illegal to smoke in your car. Not for any health reasons mind you. Legislators say it's because taking a drag while driving is a distraction that causes accidents. (An accident is finding yourself driving in Jersey!) Makes Washington state look like a veritable oasis for smokers. Of course, we've got Initiative 901 looming on the November horizon. That's the measure that would not only kick puffing pariahs out of virtually every public place and business, but would further banish us to the outer rings of hell, or 25 feet from outside entrances, whichever is further away. Now, I'll be honest with you: If a smoking ban like that has to happen, I'd rather it come from a vote of the people instead of a bill in the legislature. That doesn't mean I'm in favor of the ban smoking initiative. I'm not. It just means I am totally fed up with government and what I call its "Don't Run with Scissors" laws. I'll be voting "NO" on 901. And since I vote absentee, you can bet I'll be smoking as I cast my ballot. Want to share your thoughts with Ken Schram? You can e-mail him at kenschram@komo4news.com

Its just stupid.

B, X, and Y wings... really didn't have any good names did they. Anyways, the power of Defiant Class is great and from what I was forced to watch of Star Wars at an early age... Star Trek could kick but with 10 NX-01s!

*plays "Magic Carpet Ride"* Lets rock and roll!

If not broken, don't fix. Leave it as it is... I need the hour of sleep in October and in April I don't need it because I'm always on break.

Ken Schram Commentary: Odds And EndsJuly 21, 2005
By Ken Schram
SEATTLE - Bits and pieces; odds and ends. Just some random thoughts on a trio of issues. Let's start with Canada, at number one. Dignity and respect are now available to gays and lesbians above the 49th parallel. Gays and lesbians can now be legally married there. Maybe Canadians can teach the U.S. how to get past the petty, small-minded attitude that keeps same-sex marriage out of reach here in the states. I hope so. Number 2: I'm wondering where all those 'noble' politicians were when that excruciatingly violent video game - "Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas" - was released with merely a "Mature" rating. Now that hidden sex scenes have been found in the game, pressure has forced the rating to "Adults Only." Mystifying. No problem with the brutal killing of police officers and children in the game, but throw some sex in the mix and everyone gets their BVD's in a bunch. Can you spell "hypocrite?" Number 3: How about that tunnel they found under the U.S./Canadian border? I've got an idea: Instead of prosecuting the people who dug it, I think the City of Seattle should hire them. I mean, if these people could build something like that for what I bet was not a whole lot of money, I've got only one word for you: Viaduct! Want to share your thoughts with Ken Schram?
