    I still say they shold turn the novel "Final Frontier?," the one about Kirk's dad and the first mission of the Enterprise (it hadn't even been finished) into a movie. What a cool story.  My guess is they would have to make some alterations for continuity (which is always changing).

    I thought that novel was pretty cool also. Kirk's dad also met a Romulan. :)

    I think he did some evil things but I think Dr. Soong was right when he said that Lore was not given the same chances as Data. Data had been in Starfleet for approximately 20 years before he was assigned to the Enterprise but he said that Geordi was his first friend. Let's assume that Lore's treatment on Omicron Theta was similar - no friends, etc. and add into that mix the emotions that Lore possessed and that is a recipe for resentment, bitterness and anger. If Lore had been given the chances I think he would have been just fine.

    Hmmmm, maybe you are right. The thing is that I do not think Lore could ever be trusted. Look at the evil stuff he did to his brother. :blink:

    doh! my sister figured out how to get around the user name prompt. is there possibly a program to need a password to change the desktop picture and screensaver?

    I know in Windows 98 that in the log on screen anyone can get passed that, but you can’t really get pass (or log on as) a specific user.

     

    Like if I was on my 98 computer and then once I got the log on I clicked the “cancel” it will just log under “default”. Make sure you don’t log on as “default” and log on typing in your password . . . .

     

    I would guess that your sister is in fact in the default log in. She can change things there, but when you log on with your password (and user name) then you should be ok. However you might have to set up your theme (wallpaper, screen saver, . . .) under that user name again to make it look as you want it to.

    And if you don’t want your sister to even touch the computer in general, then you can create a startup password (you really can’t get passed that unless you know how to restart the CSMOS inside the computer or contact {with identification and proof that that’s your computer} the computer company with a default code)

    master q is correct. There is really no way to get around a cmos password. If you do set one up make sure it is a password that is easy for you to remember but hard for her. You cannot leave it written down on a piece of paper anywhere either. She may find it

    :blink: In STM he said that if they were to make another Next Gen movie he would Gladly do it.. PLUS they kept B4 they have to use him at some point!!

    I wish I could remember the link that said he did not want to do Data again. Maybe he changed his mind or the link was passing bad info. I do not remember any quotes. Anyhow, I guess we will find out what happens eventually.

    Yes, I do like them also. As you can see, I picked Data for my user name. I like the other characters on TOS a lot also, but Spock just stood out.
