Welcome mudd. You are going to like it here. I never posted on st.com but read it every once in a while. I found this link there. I am really glad I found this place.

Welcome. I am another 40's plus ST fan also, 48 to be exact. I go back to the days of TOS. Fortunately for me, many of my co-workers are ST fans also.

I believe B4 is sentient. Even though he is not as advanced as Data, he is aware of who he is.

I do not know if they did it or not but I was wondering if anyone had seen it or heard a rumor there is a Data FC Playmate Action Figure displaying Data in his Ahem...birthday suit?

 

Truth be told I know it is more than a rumor, I saw (long time ago) an advertisement for the figure. It must have FLOWN off of the shelves cause I never saw it anywhere except in the ad. CALM DOWN!

I think they looked more like the Calamarain from Deja Q.  If they could evolve from corporeal beings then it is feasible that between the times of Enterprise and TNG that they were able to adapt to living in space.

 

 

Forgot to say that I just watched the episode and it was great.  I have been watching Enterprise more and more.  Hopefully they are starting to hit their stride now too.  Hopefully the ratings will improve too.

Don't you think Frank Hollander in Fistful of Datas looked soooo good.  Data looked so bad with that Riker beard in that one episode but looked great with that mustache.  I was almost cheering for him over Worf.

I really miss Doctor Who. I would like to see new episodes. I wonder who would be the next Doctor.

Data's emotion chip. I wonder if Data should be burdened with emotions. They just get in the way. Then on the other hand, he could get a sense of humor.

The name of the TNG episode, with the criminals who took over Deana, O'Brien a was "Power Play". It was in ithe fifth season.

I voted for TNG. I might of picked TOS if it was on the list.

It seems most of us here want to have either a TNG or mixed cast movie. I chose other. Not because I don't like TNG or even the other series. If I had to choose a series I guess it would be a DS9 or a mixed with DS9 characters. However, I really would like to see the ST universe EXPANDED. How about a ST-Excelsior movie with Captain Sulu? Or Starfleet Academy? Or even a really cool push to the far future with ST-Relativity? Or even a more bold idea.....A brand new ship and crew? Maybe the crew of Peter David's New Frontier books and the ship Excalibur? Anyway, there are lots of possibilties that could capture the fans attention and maybe, just maybe, a new viewing public.Just my meager thoughts!!!

You got a great point. It would be neat to see more of Sulu as a Captain. Maybe we can see more of what Tuvak was like then. If the movie had a time travel sceme, maybe members of the different series could be seen.

Also, the Star Fleet Academy idea maybe cool too.

I picked Spock. When TOS was on, he was my favorite character. I like the others, but Leonard Nimoy did such a great Spock.

No, I was online at the time S.O.E. was playing...oops. Anyway, I do think Data's expression was just so sad. Just made me want to give him a hug. Well, I'd want to hug him no matter what  . Anyway, that definately makes a good actor, when they can make you cry, make you scream and make you laugh when they want you to!

Their scores will more than likely be higher since, the two that were judging today deliberately judged tough, so that the girls were better prepared. If they went easy, then the girls would relax WAY too much! Believe me, they would!

As for bonus Treks: YES! Q episodes!! I was surprised they didn't do that sooner though (and have you guys noticed - on sunday - ALL DATA!!)

Hi, I'm back. Phlox does not remind me of Futurama. Those Wisp characters do remind me of the criminals that took over Deana, O'brien and Data in the TNG episode. Anyhoo, it was not a bad episode but I will not put it on my list favorites. I am really looking forward to episode when they encounter the Borg.

Hee hee, this thread is too funny. Brent Spiner has quite a following here. Anyhoo, I can relate to the character. At times, I have been called an android. I picked the name because it fit me. I will stop by from time to time. I enjoy reading this stuff.
