It was on the Daring ... so it was a very daring tie choice!

I'm also rooting for the Giants. I'm sick of seeing the Bush family in shots during the game. especially during game 4. They of course are Rangers fans.
The Giants have won 4 pennants in San Francisco, but not a World Championship (yet). They won 14 pennants and 5 World Championships as the New York Giants, before they moved to San Fransisco in 1958.
Go Giants!

I always though Patrick did a fine job as Guerney Halleck and that the film had a number of very good actors. However, I had read the book already: if you hadn't the film was quite confusing. I knew that the film was in trouble when it was shown - in a theater with just 11 other people watching ....

Leonard Nimoy was also scheduled to appear at the Star Trek Con in Chicago today. Attendees, including myself and fiends, were told upon arrival at he Con that Nimoy could not attend due to a "Family emergency." The con was to issue refunds next week on tickets previously purchased.
I wish Mr. Nimoy a recovery at warp speed!

I agree with Bethlehem
Kor makes a great point. Sci Fi (I hate their new SyFy name) has so much garbage on when there are great Sci Fi shows and movies they could show.
I agree with Van Roy that the eps they are featuring are likely not most viewers choices for best episodes. My choices would be eps like Yesterdays Enterprise, Q Who, Sins of the Father, Measure of a Man, Sarek, Best of Both Worlds, The Drumhead, The Inner Light, Lower Decks, All Good Things, The Offspring, I,Borg, The Defector, Relics, etc.

Some celebrities who have appeared on Shatner's Raw Nerve are Tim Allen, Gene Simmons, Kelsey Grammer, Rush Limbaugh, Drew Carey, "Weird Al" Yankovic, Jenna Jameson, Meat Loaf, Whoopie Goldberg, Jerry Springer, & Leonard Nimoy. Shatner recently mentioned an upcoming interview with Walter Koenig. Episodes will be shown on October 23.

This deserves special attention, which is why I'm making a second entry instead of editing the entry above:ASK SIR PATRICK STEWART A QUESTION!
What a wonderful idea!
Very cool. I may do this. So far, I'm considering a question about Tony Blair's new book: if Patrick has read it and his thoughts on what Blair says about the Labor Party in it.
Mrs. Picard, are YOU asking him a question???

Someone involved with the TV series The Big Bang Theory must be a Star Trek fan too. There are frequent references and Takei and Wheaton have guest starred on the show this season.
