VICTORIA -- A meeting between top labour leaders and B.C.'s labour minister has not averted Friday's planned walkout by the province's 42,000 teachers.

 

The meeting only lasted about an hour in Victoria.

 

B.C. Teachers Federation president Jinny Sims says she's prepared for whatever happens if the government won't negotiate and the walkout goes ahead.

 

She says her members know the consequences of such action, and so does she.

 

B.C. Federation of Labour President Jim Sinclair says the ball is in the B.C. government's court and he expects the Liberals to negotiate, even if there's an illegal walkout.

 

And he expects picket lines will be respected by all other union workers in the public school system.

 

He points to members of CUPE, the BC Government Employees Union, operating engineers, carpenters and others.

Jack, Locke and Kate learn more secrets about the hatch. Meanwhile, after being beaten and taken captive, Sawyer, Michael and Jin wonder if their captors are fellow survivors or the dreaded "Others." Flashbacks reveals more of Locke's past in this episode as well as the introduction of Helen (guest star Katey Segal) who shakes things up even more with her revealing personality and past.

What do you guys think of those we call "rednecks"? According to Jeff Foxworthy, i would be a redneck because i fit a lot of the stuff he says when he says "You might be a redneck if/when..." I don't mind "rednecks", as i am one myself! :lol: What are you guys opinions?

Cage is a nephew of filmmaker Francis Ford Coppola. The 41-year-old actor had been slated to play comic book hero Superman, whose Kryptonite name is Kal-el, but the movie fell apart in preproduction.

The couple married in July 2004. It was the third marriage for Cage and the first for his new wife, who was 20 when they were wed. They met when Cage visited a Los Angeles restaurant where she was working as a waitress.

Cage, who won an Oscar for his role in "Leaving Las Vegas," has a son from a previous relationship.

He was previously married to Lisa Marie Presley and actress Patricia Arquette
