  1. Just about a month after "Unification" in December of 91, Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country was released, which in my opinion is the best Trek film to date, closely followed by TWoK and FC.

Don't think so. Unification came out after The Undiscovered Country. It would have to since Spock references what happened in The Undiscovered Country in Unification. The idea behind Spock's "cowboy diplomacy" was that, after the events of The Undiscovered Country and his role in them, he didn't want his diplomatic actions to put others at risk.

And I know Unification didn't come out in 1991 because I saw it after I had moved in 1992.

According to ST.COM Unification pt one aired 11/4/91 and pt two aired 11/11/91

ST6: TUC opened at theaters on 12/6/91

I was going off the ST.com dates that AE listed.

  2. Second warning: this thread is about your opinions of the footage described in the opening post.

I haven't had a chance to see the footage yet, but based on what I've heard, I doubt I'll like it. I dunno; I just can't imagine Scott delivering those lines in a believable way. I too am pretty sure that this will have nothingto do with the actual opening sequence of the show, but it's still interesting.

  3. I also vote bad.

Not only is it one of the rules here, it's not exactly fair to some members.

I've realized this even more clearly as of late as I have been unable to see the last two episodes. I wont be able to watch them until I go home this weekend. This has happened before, but I always liked being able to read the ratings and general opinions people had of the episode without actually learning major plot points. Now, it's even more difficult because I have to weigh my duties as the mod of the ENT forum with my desire not to ruin the entire episode for myself. There needs to be an option, and forcing those who haven't seen the episode to avoid the topic altogether shouldn't be it.

Besides, once you learn how, is it really that difficult to add the spoiler tags?

Suffice to say, the spoiler rule is there for a reason.

  4. I have to say that for me, Trek was at its best from the fall of 89 to the winter of 91.

This period started off with TNG's 3rd season, including great eps such as "The Ensigns of Command", "Booby Trap", "The Vengeance Factor", "The Defector", "Yesterday's Enterprise" (my all-time favorite), "Captain's Holiday", "Tin Man", "Hollow Pursuits", "Sarek", "Menage a Troi", and "The Best of Both Worlds" pt 1.

Season 4 followed with "The Best of Both Worlds" pt 2, "Family", "Suddenly Human", "Legacy", "Reunion", "Future Imperfect", "Data's Day", "The Wounded", "Clues", "First Contact", "Night Terrors", "Qpid", "Half a Life", "The Mind's Eye", "In Theory", and "Redemption" pt 1.

The first half of season 5 in 91 included "Redemption" pt 2, "Darmok", "Ensign Ro", "Disaster", and "Unification" pts 1 and 2.

Just about a month after "Unification" in December of 91, Star Trek 6: The Undiscovered Country was released, which in my opinion is the best Trek film to date, closely followed by TWoK and FC.

Sorry to list all those episodes, but there were so many I enjoyed from that time period that I didn't want to leave them out.

Suffice to say, I think Trek from 89-91 was at the peak of its quality.

  5. Out of everyone you listed, I guess I'll have to say Stacie Orrico since she's the only one who is also on Christian radio (She started her career in Christian music, so I've heard "Don't Look at Me", "With a Little Faith", "Without Love", "Genuine" and "More to Life").

She's not one of my absolute favorites, but she's one of the few on that list I've actually heard much of.

  6. Too much. I'm listening to a cd while finishing Stats work, while checking things here, while preparing to go downstairs to do laundry, while getting papers together to read since I'm class discussion leader Tues and Thurs, while trying to get a group together to go to a concert Thurs night.......

    etc.

(Personal request: if anyone wants to send me links to bio info on The Brothers Grimm, that'd be much appreciated :( ; I'll look for some links myself tonight, but I haven't had a chance yet.)

  7. I want a banner but don't have any pics. What should I do?

okay then never mind ::walks off::

    Hey, pk.

All you need to do is find some images you like online, and show them to any of the people here who are very willing to make banners, or describe to them what type of images you would like.

Also, it is actually very easy to make one on your own if you'd rather do that. You would just need to save the banner template to your computer, and any other online images you would want in it. Then, work with them in Paint and send the final product to VBG (that's how I made mine).

If you have any other questions, just ask.
