  1. I agree, the ENT board at ST.com is so venomous, i lasted about a day over there before i got too frustrated with them all

I love Enterprise and everything about it so far! None of the other series have captivated me in the way that this one has, it's just marvellous so far! (u can tell that i am a very happy bunny!)

  2. OH MY GOD i love Trip, he is such a sweetie pie and such a gentleman. I loved when he was left in charge of the ship and everytime someone asked him something he was like ''I'll get back to ya'' bless him! :) My friend and i keep on sort of quoting him all the time now saying stuff like how people are 'pathetic and have been trying to annoy us from day one' (re: Shockwave pt II) yes, we are quite quite mad... but hey, we are happy mad women so i am all for being happy!!

  3. I agree, hoshi is sooooooooo whiney, she is still a good character and is obv very gifted but i just wish she would moan a little less... she is most definitely very high maintenence!!

I have to admit that i am not familiar with any of the actresses u mentioned, but i would have to suggest someone like Megan Leitch who played Kira in the SG-1 episode 'past and present'... She played a doctor/scientist in that episode and i guess she just seemed perfect for that kind of role, i could totally see her as a counsellor on Enterprise

  4. I can see both sides of the coin with this one... i mean, i wouldn't really have minded which way they go whether it's new species ahoy or old ones, but there is that nice sense of security and familiarity when u see species etc that had been seen in other ST and we all like to be able to understand 'in jokes'. i have heard people moan elsewhere that there is not enough classic Trek in Enterprise... i don't know what the answer is really, i guess just keep going like they are with a balance.

  5. I don't think it would kill the Vulcans to have a little optimism sometimes... even if they are THAT sure that humans are numbnuts and will fail, maybe if they offer more assistance things would be more to their liking. They sit on their pedestals saying how primitive humans are and how arrogant they are, but they are far more arrogant. They had to start out somewhere, have they forgotten that? They should be encouraging people of Earth, not beating them down and with-holding information. They are definitely dodgy and i think something major will occur in maybe the next season or one after that where Archer seriously knocks them down off their pedestal and shows them that they too have weaknesses and are not the almighty superior race that they think they are. 'Nuff said, rant over, and yes i do feel better!!!

  6. I went with Archer/Tucker tied (ooh err) because, like CptWright just said, they leave no man behind and that is something i really respect. maybe i am being unjustly mean, but i just don't see T'Pol having the same kind of philosophy so i wouldn't want her to be my back up... Plus, T'Pol should really be left on the ship in command when Archer's not there and she does do that very well so she is best of being left there sometimes rather than covering Archer's back otherwise Trippy gets left in command, which seems to stress him out: ''I'll get back to ya!'' springs to mind!! :D lol

  7. I voted for Mayweather, not because i don't like him, but just that at this moment in the show's run he is the only character that i feel is despensable. Hopefully they will remedy that, as i'm sure that he has great potential, and everyone seems pretty enthusiastic about the latest episode that he was a main part of. But really i wouldn't want to see anyone leave the show as i think that they all gel so well together and make such a great team :) .

  8. MoulinRouge I love your answer! Thanks for the support and i totally agree with everthing u said

It is difficult to know what to do in that kind of situation i guess, but i mean, what exactly do u class as 'flaunting it'? I remember Joss Whedon getting his wrists slapped for trying to include a lesbian kiss on Buffy and at first the scene was cut but i guess he won his case because it happens a lot now and i don't have a problem with that. Each to their own. As far as i am concerned, it is no different to seeing a girl and a guy kissing. It is a declaration of affection and i think that's great. I certainly wouldn't have any problem with hand holding and what not on ENT. At the end of the day, whatever they do has to be suitable for the audience at home, a sex scene is not suitable for the audience watching ENT, hetero or not, so that's most definitely out of the question.

But to be honest, i think that a character that has a positive experience with 'coming out' is a much better example to set the audience than Kirk hopping in and out of bed with a different woman every week...

  9. oh do calm down, i'm not saying that a camp person must be a gay person, just that Reed is camp sometimes and so stereotypically the possibility is there. I did say that it could also be something from nothing, just airing thoughts is all.

I also wasn't saying that they should turn it into some kind of major story arc, only that we had noticed that it was a possibility and that it might arise at some point in the future.

I have to say that i find it disgracefully narrow minded that there are people out there who are so against homosexuality in ST. It is after all supposed to be a better and more balanced Earth that they are living in and i refuse to believe that there will be no such thing as homosexuality in the future.

  10. My friend and i were sitting watching 'Canamar' last night and she pointed out how remarkably camp Reed can be sometimes... I mean, yeah his eyes were out on stalks in Broken Bow when those dancers were in his face and then there was '7 days and 7 nights' when he was very eager to 'get some', but he does has a certain 'quality' that makes us wonder if he just might at some point be the first homosexual character on ST... I don't know exactly what it is, it might have something to do with his mannerisms and his current habit of moving from side to side like he is doing a dance (for this just watch closely in 'canamar' and 'future tense') but of course it could just be something from nothing!

Any other thoughts on the subject? I think it would be soooo great and show even more diversity in the characters than ENT has presented us with already! But of course it would take him away from T'Pol, which would upset some folks who are eager for a romance between those two... but then of course apart from T'Pol's 'boyancy aids' she is actually rather a masculine character anyway, which could explain an attraction... hmmm

(Can i just say that i am not criticising Reed, i love him, just pondering on some recent behaviour!)

  11. I clicked on daleks cos i couldn't decide... but i guess robots in general would be cool, as it has already been said, they can be very scary at times!

But it would be fun if the daleks popped up in ENT! But i would have to hide behind the sofa, which is where i usually could be found when watching dalek eps of Dr. Who when i was younger!
