  1. I kinda think Ent will end with the formation and we won't actully see it, cuse we already see what happens after it's formed. I predict the last scene of Ent is going to be on the Bridge of a badly damged NX-01, with a Vulcan escort back to Earth after the last heavy battle with the Romulans, T'Pol leaves for Vulcan when they get back to Earth and the rest of the crew excluding the doctor who left with T'Pol, Archer plunks down in his chair with sparks and pieces falling around him, and Trip and Reed just just look at each other, cut to an external shot of the ship we see the Ent in Earths orbit, the Vulcan ship un docks and flys off, then the end credits roll and thats it, with 2-3 movies.

  2. i think it is still spot on, it has grown up from an idea to way of life for some people, granted TOS was more social comentary, where as the later part of TNG to Ent has been more about a signle ongoing saga, with the overtones less prominent. When you think about it people watch Star Trek for the story line not the social view aspect. It's been around for over 30 years, it is now a living thing with a pulse, his view was for a hopeful future, which is still the whole point to the show, even with Ent. it show in less than 200 years that's where we will be. And there is still more of the story to be told.

  3. my vote would go to Vancouver, I've been to Salzburg,, Austria, it's small with high peaks and valleys no real flat land, but it is right over the boarder from germany, don't get me wrong it is a beutiful town, just to me it would make more sense to hold it in Canada, even though they had the winter games back in '88, course Korea had the summer games in '88, and Austria last had the games in '76 in Innsbruck, Vancouver in 2010, eh.

  4. I'd like to see a mixed cast that spans the casts of TNG, DS9, and VOY togeather to overcome some massive threat to the federation, and it results in majority of one cast to die, but say none the less they need to bring the other casts in somehow.

  5. It's one of those questions without an answer, here's the question posed in "Nit Pickers Guide for Classic Trekkers" by Phil Farrand:

"If anyone had asked me this question while I writing the nitpicker's guide for next generation my immediate response would been 'Obviously!'. Aside from the discipline of the crew , everything I saw smacked of military: the uniforms, the armament , the ships, ranks, the command structure. I just assumed that Starfleet was the equivalent of our modern day military, and took the oppertunity to criticize the lack of military disciple on Picard's Enterprise. Then The letters poured in that Picard had said that Starfleet wasn't Military. In addition, there's a story going around Trekdom that the Great Bird of the Galaxy himself Gene Roddenberry, unequivocally asserted that Starfleet wasn't Military. As to what exactly it is, I heard most likened to a fleet of ships run by Jacques Cousteau. What follows is a small collection of statements and situations dealing with this matter. I leave it to you to decide.

    1. when ever there's a threat of invasion by the military of another group, Starfleet anwers the call. ( Balance of Terror, Errand of Mercey) If we were threated with war we wouldn't call Jacques, we'd call the Military

2."Tomorrow is Yesterday. In this episode Kirk tells Christopher that Starfleet is a combined service when asked if the Navy had bulit the Enterprise.

3."Errand of Mercey" Kirk tells the Organians he's a soldier not a Diplomat.

4."whoms gods destroy" garth tells kirk he is the finest military commander in the Galaxy-execpt for himself. Kirk replies he is primarly a Expoler for now.

    5. Star Trek II, In reference to Starfleet, David Marcus states that scientist have always been the pawns of the military. His mother replies that Star fleet has kept the peace for 100 years

6.Star Trek V, Starfleet sends Kirk to Nimbus III to rescue the amabassadors, isn't rescuing hostages a military operation?

    7. Star Trek VI, in the initail briefing a female Captain asks if they are considring mothballing Star fleet. The man in charge states that the exploring, and scientific aspects would be unaffected. If so then what would be affected then..., wouldn't it be the Military?"

and there are a bunch more, but is Starfleet Military? It's a good Question, and if it's not then what is it? :D

  6. Hes an Ex-Drug addict.. lol

my neighbour yelled at me when i said i hated bush.. cuz shes very godly and she says he goes to church all the time.. *eek*

meh.. poor poor america... didn't my prime minister call him an idiot..lol

    -Lauren

well bush only goes to hurch all the time cause he was born in the bible states. hes not showing very Christian ideals. lol. and, no Jean Cretien didn't call him an idiot. it was one of his MPs. but Cretien is finally starting to stand up for Canada. he said that bush is going to far and it is getting out of hand. lol. yaaaay! go CANADA!

Ps. (notice how i didn't capitalize bush's name but i did for all the Canada related stuff. Bush doesn't deserve a capital. Lol.)

bysty, you may have just gone to far, like him or not he is the president of The United States, but rember this:

here's two neat words from the dictionary:

libel n. 1. a. defamation by written or printed matter rather than by spoken word. b. the crime of publishing such matter

defame v.t. 1. a. to attack the good name or reputation of ; slander or libel.

His past is something he has openly talked about for a long time, everyone has dark moments in their life. That has nothing to do with the possible war with with Iraq, nothing. I suggest we let this theard slip away or stick to facts about the war.

  7. Yeah but the thing with the red shirts is that Ent NX-01 isn't really that big, and doesn't have that many people, and it's not like they can pick up more at a starbase, cuse there are none, and i think the vulcans may use the disposable human thing aganist use. And with their jump suits wouldn't it be red stripes? :D But, fear not your blood lust :) will be satisfied during the Romulan Conflict04.gif :)

  8. Yes I know this a pro Star Trek board and i like it that way, but hey everything has it's faults, even Star Trek, so for the sake conversation if you could wipe one character from the books of Star Trek lore who would it be?

My vote would be Kes, she to me was a pointless character that went no where quick.

  9. And, Poguemahone, my kids are now crazy about Monty Python's Flying Circus and any spin-offs that those crazy characters created.

    V.C.

Ah,.... the next gen of monty python fans :D , see what good classic tv does, it never dies

  10. I think the show's doing fine, but to kill the crew just for rating may confuse people even more, cuse i don't think we need any more people in Star Trek history that prior to them being on the show don't exist any where in Star Trek lore. The show going get better , as if it needs to, the whole character developing thing for backgrounds is all most over except for the one upcoming dealing with Mayweather's background.

  11. It maybe becuase when it was done it was done on analog, and when it changed over to digital for the dvd, it suffered, if you listen to any CD's from the 80's when they first made the recording , they're oringal form is analog, tape. where as now it is all digital, you you get the cracks, and peeps with analog, or your dvd is bad, or that in ST IV the music isn't really as important, there not any big battle scenes that creat emotion, i have always just looked at STIV as PSA for save the whales, i think thats your answer.... :D
