    I liked watching Trekkies I..It certainly was interesting..And no, after watching it I don't feel they were poking fun at us..But the cover of the DVD kinda got me thinking it was a comedy about us Trek fans...

    You see I had never seen the first Trekkies DVD that they did. I got the impression that it was more of a comedy poking fun at us Trek fans. So I never watched it before. I was inspired by the Trekkies 2 chat we had recently..So I ordered the first Trekkies DVD from Amazon.com, it arrived today and I am going to watch it tonight..

     

    Have you guys seen it yet and what did you think of it?

    I gave it an 8.5..A very good episode and I liked it a lot..

    An intense episode. I could feel just how precarious Enterprise was with all that damage and hull breaches..I was glad that Hoshi and Travis actually got to say a few lines of dialogue...I enjoyed seeing a sphere builder and of course Casey Biggs as the alien captain..

    I think we could have done without T'Pol's shower scene though. That didn't add much to the story. That was a tough decision for Archer to make..It would be good if he can go back and render assisitance after the Xindi mission is over..

    I always remember when I watch the news they're going to spin everything to make it more dramatic than it probably is. The are delivering the news but they want ratings to. I don't get to upset by the news anymore as long as I remember they're trying to sell it to me.

    That is true enough about the media. They do always try to sensationize everything they report. But they are not making up the news. These events really do happen.. And sometimes I get depressed thinking about the state of the world..Of course I also realize that they never report good news only the bad..With rare exceptions..

    Every night I watch the news while I eat my dinner. It really is quite depressing to watch what is going on in our world. It's no wonder that I like Star Trek so much. Tonight's news for example. Rising gas prices..It seems like the price of everything is going up except my paycheck..Tornadoes damaging homes and lives in the midwest. And in my local area 2 women were assaulted. A 14 year old boy was run over and killed by a car. The police suspect it was intentional.!! And I'm not even going to talk about all the violence and attrocities that are happening overseas right now. It makes me ask once again; are we ever going to make it to that Utopian Star Trek world that I dream about so often. It certainly seems like it is getting further and further out of reach..

    I get the magazine Star Trek Communicator. I highly reconmend it. I believe it is a great Trek mag. And I always read it cover to cover the day I receive it in the mail. It has some great articles and interviews..It is especially worthwhile if you like Enterprise. They interview the actors periodically as well as Rick Berman and talk about the production of Enterprise and how things are going...

    I voted Yes..Although I wouldn't describe it as Religiously ! I watched all of them when they were first aired. At the time it was the only new Trek we had. I would really like to see them again..

    No Jeanway. MQ was just pointing out the differences between the US and the UK..

    I would vote for the UK version too. It looks much better.

    :bow: Oh Wow MQ..You're right..What a difference in packaging..Too bad the US versions weren't like that..Such a shame..I'll still buy them of course but I just don't understand..Why the difference??
