    Steriods have been around in sports for a long time but recently it has become big news in baseball over the last 5-10 years.Especailly since the stoll pigean Jose Canseco said that while he played he knew for a fact that 80% of players took them.

     

    As of recent the drug company Balco was charged with providing players with steriods.Three big players were involved with them.Yankees first baseman/DH Jason Giambi,Outfilder Gary Shefield and Giants outfielder Barry Bonds.

     

    I thought at first Bonds took them but have since changed my opinion.Giambi has increased in power and size so dramtcily since joining the Yanks that im pretty sure he has.And Shefiled Im kinda border line about.

     

    I know there arent that many on this board that follow the great game of baseball(which is a darn shame) but for those of you that know about this what do you think???

    40 huh? Well either way he is old for a baseball player.Most retire around 40(although some lie about it :cough Clemens cough: :) )But unlike most at that age bonds seems to be getting better.Its kinda scary.

     

    Honestly I have gained a little respect for Bonds back.He took back some comments he said about the Babe last year and apoloised so he is a good man again in my book and not a steriod taking n**** i was calling him earlier. :)

     

    But is he taking steriods?.........Im gonna say no because his size hasnt changed that much.Not as dramitcly as some people who im sure are taking them namely Giambi and Shefield.

    At first I was kinda ticked off about this rule and saw no point to it as well but now I see why.Thanks for explaining VBG.I agree those can be somewhat annoying.

     

    As far as turning sigs off I for one would like to disagree with that.Though signatures should be too long turning them off would suck.the signature is kinda like a piece of ones prsonality and it gives you something to personalize your posts and show other people who you are.

     

    New Rule=Good

    Turning sigs off=BAD!

    Excuse me :) The playoffs last year set record for ratings for sports.The ALCS had higer ratings than any other sporting event on fox over the last 15 years.That includes the Superbowl,Nascar,ect.If anything its growing.

    Bonds turns 41 in july.Retire? unless an injury forces him too i dont think he will tell he breaks it.

    If she were forgiven for all things because of her addiction then I don't see this being much different than how things are today. People routinely get away with all sorts of things because they were a victim. T'Pol is not the problem, it's all the 'drugs' fault! She can't *help* if she was addicted, she can't *help* that she cost the lives of so many crew members.

     

    Yeh exactly I think it is another example of how Star Trek is showing an example of todays issues.

    Which label have they signed with and how good is their distribution?

     

    I cant remember who it was they signed with but I will try to find out.As far as I know so far it has just been distrubtured around Western Washington I think Im not sure.The Album is entitled "A tooth for the Dying"(dont ask me why they chose that name).

    Last night Barry Bonds hit home run number 661 into Mccovey Cove in SanFransico.That home run puts him in third place on the all time homer list past his godfather and former Sanfransico great "Sey Hey" Willie Mays.

     

    Next on the list is the great Herman "Babe" Ruth at 714 home runs.At the pace Bonds is going he should pass Ruth by the end of the season or about this time next year.After that is the Home Run King Hank Aaron at 755.There is little dispute as to wheather or not Bonds will pass Ruth unless something drastic happens.

     

    The question is will Bonds pass Hank Aaron? He wil turn 41 in July and most players retire or there bodies give out on them when they get to 40.At his current pace Bonds would pass Aaron by the All Star Game 2 seasons from now.

     

    I think he will pass Aaron myself.Making Barry Bonds not only the single seson home run leader but the all time leader.

    Well I got to work this time.I got the size down so I could upload it onto here.The problem is I had to reduce the quality to a harrible 6.5kbs a sec.So dont just click on it,save it to your computer,open it in windows movie maker and save it in high quality.Otherwise it sounds like crap.

    Ok forget the file in the first post.I got the video quality down so that the size is small enough so that I can upload it onto here.

     

    Dont watch the video at its present quality.Open it up in Windows Movie Maker and save ti with a high quality then watch it.Otherwise its blurry and it sucks

    Well I have never had hacker PROBLEMS per say...

     

    I had this guy hack Linuix once but it was for a good purpose.We at the Linux community thrive on other members eho hack the operating system and make improvments.We have the source code at hand so hacking is generally a good thing.As Picard once said "We thrive to better ourselves."

     

    But with some many Linux diastrubutions it is very very hard for a hacker to do bad hacking. :wacko:

    Well like everybody else said if I was you id just wait for the reruns.The first season isnt quite as good as the next two but it will help you understand things better.

    I dont got notin against vegatarians.They way I see it,they dont want meat, the good!! More Meat for the rest of us!!!

     

    This may sound cruel and harsh but I honestly dont care about how the animal dies just as long as it ends up on my plate and doesnt have mad cow or something like that.Ive been to a slughter house before and all I thought about when I stared at that cow getting killed is "Oh yeah your ending up on a bun buddy!"

    I remeber the first time I went hunting.The first time I shot a dear I felt an adreline rush and almost a surge of power knowing that I had control over this creautres life.To me the meat tastes even better knowing that you yourself put it there. :lol: "The trill of the hunt!" as they say.

    Now I am obviously not VBG but I'm gonna throw im my two cents anyways :lol: .

     

    First off Jim you made one big mistake IMO.You should of found out from CJLP(our CJLP) if he was in fact the CJLP in question at your board BEFORE giving him mod status.The golden rule-NEVER ASSUME.

     

    Second after finding out that you screwed up I dont think you should of just outright deleted the guy.I know if I was in his position I would of been ticked as well.Instead maybe you should of just removed his MOD status and explained to him the situation.

     

    Third IMO what I think you should do is give CJLP(our CJLP) MOD status and try to explain to the CJLP in question what happened.After that if he doesnt like then screw him. :lol:

     

    You have a hell of a problem here Jim.I don't envy you.
