Has any one seen the movie Holes? I bought it a few days ago on DVD and it was pretty good!

Based Upon: The award-winning 1999 children's book of the same title by Louis Sachar. Among its awards are the National Book Award, the Newberry Medal, and "Best Book of the Year" awards from Publishers Weekly, The New York Times, and School Library Journal.

Not to be Confused with: This doesn't have anything to do with the British thriller, The Hole.

Premise: A teenager, Stanley Yelnats (La Beouf), sent to Camp Green Lake, a Texas detention camp, for a crime (stealing a pair of sneakers) he didn't commit. There, he and the other boys are forced by the warden (Weaver), a fiery woman who paints her nails with snake venom, to dig holes as something of a "character-building experience." Each day, each boy must dig a hole five feet deep and wide, in the long-dry rock that was once the bottom of Green Lake. (Scroll over the following white space for a bit more that may be a spoiler, depending on how the film is told...
