  1. One could argue that using the information gathered by unethical medical research would at least provide some good to come from the suffering of the victim. So although they died, if that information can save others, then they didn't die for nothing. On the other hand, it can be argued that using medical knowledge obtained by unethical practices tacitly approves those practices and may encourage it in the future. Overall, I would say the best approach is to use any useful medical knowledge, but punish the one who gathered it unethically. Seperate the man/woman from the knowledge since it's not the knowledge itself that is the problem.

    Good point, you're as bad for late nights as I :dude:

  2. i was thinking,

    what if, the Borg did Assimilation to the whole universe:assimilated:

    then the borg cant  assimilate no more

    then what ?

    then we are all borg.

    then this is weird, :dude:

    Something like that actually happened in Season 2 of LEXX. A being much like the Borg known as Mantrid consumed virtually all the matter in the Light Universe (the Universe parallel to our own) and in so doing caused it to collapse...destroying all planets, stars, and life there. The LEXX only escaped by diving into the singularity created by the collapse and emerging into the Dark Zone (our Universe).

    I remember that, was a real odd show B)

  3. Picture this for a hypothetical;

    you're on an island, you have a fire and a pot of water to boil, the only food is eggs, you eat them without boiling you'll die, but the person who first boiled eggs was a mass murderer of your anscestors.

    Rediculous thought, but the point is;

    THERE'S ONLY 1 WAY TO BOIL AN EGG!

    Who cares who came up with the idea.

  4. Don't worry ARMS, we have no intention of apologiZing. ;)

    Btw, good to see you back, ARMS.

    Thankyou.

    I still hold to what I said when I left, however, instead of getting worked up about it, I'll just drop in now and then and only read what interests me.

    I was worked up because I've been on here for years, and this was a great forum, loosing it's way since the demise of trek, but instead of turning my back on it, I'll be around.
