  1. I'd like to see one, but it would have a huge potential to be cheesy depending on how the cast is thrown back together (maybe it could take place during the run of the series, and maybe even have Jadzia  ). I'd definitely go see one if it were made.

  2. I love the matrix..I just re-watched the first one a couple days age, it was even better than i had remembered!  I still haven't seen reloaded though...can't wait! I think i'm seeing it this wednesday I think

for the poeple who saw it, did you think it was better than the first, the same, or not as good?

For me, the first one was better. I liked the feel of it more than Reloaded. I liked the way the story is presented in both for the most part. The second one doesn't do as well in action. Most of the fight scenes are too long, or don't go far enough beyond the original to get much excitement out of them. (I guess that's the problem with showing all the awesome stuff in the first one, and then having everyone and their dog do ripoffs, etc). The action scenes also reminded me more of the scenes in "Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon". (I believe the same guy who did the choreography for the first Matrix and CTHD also did Reloaded). They move really quickly, and pull off a lot of amazing moves, but they don't really accomplish much. That's one big beef I have with Hong Kong action movies. Lots of cool moves, but not much being accomplished. In the first Matrix people are actually injured, and the fights build up to some sort of climatic part and end. Here, they just drag.

I don't want to sound like I'm ripping it apart for the fights. There's enough going on in the movie that the fights sucking, IMO, wasn't enough to make me dislike the movie. There's a lot of stuff that's revealed, and more that's cloudied. I was worried that this movie would be little more than action, and having Neo the Messiah as the Superman guy who "saves" people to join the war.

  3. As much as I don't like Whoopi Goldberg, I like Guinan quite a bit.  She was down to earth compared to some of the other characters, and had a lot of wisdom.

Call me crazy, but I even liked the young Guinan in "Rascals".

I thought they did a great job choosing actors to play the younger versions for everyone but Picard! I really couldn't stand that kid (there, another thing I don't like :innocent:)

Yeah, he didn't work at all. He wasn't anything like Picard, and he was annoying to boot. The rest of the kids were cast well. Especially Guinan and Ro.

  4. I say HOT DAMN That Was Awsome. :innocent: Must See again :)

    [Keanu]Whoa[/Keanu]  :)

:( Yeah, it was pretty good. I'm glad that this movie delivered on the story. I was expecting it to be all cool action, and no story. It turned out to have a great story, and plot developments, but left me wanting more in the action. I can't wait for Revolutions.

  5. I watched an episode.  It looked interesting, but wasn't enough to keep me watching long term.  Maybe I can try to get into it once it goes into syndication.

Seeing as the show is finishing it's 2nd season and is a broadcast show... Syndication could be several years away. If you'd like, I could provide you with some websites and such so you can get info on the show, or I could fill you in via PM's and a link to an episode guide?

    Sure, that'd be great. :innocent:

  6. Is it just me, or does Bareil speak very much like Bruce Wayne?  The only thing he needs to do is pause slightly during his sentences...

Watch him for a few minutes!!  He could be the Bajoran Batman!

LOL! That's funny. I was watching "The Collaborator" last night, and noticed his odd speaking style seemed familiar, but couldn't place it. He did talk like Adam West's Batman. :wow:

  7. As I understand it, the uniform colors signify department.

    Red - Command

Gold - Engineering, Operrations, and so forth

Blue - Medical, Sciences, and so forth

When Geordi was promoted to Chief Engineer, he switched from the red to the gold uniform.

When Worf was transferred to DS9 and became the Strategic Operations Officer, he switched from the gold to the red uniform.

My question is: When Worf returned to the Enterprise-E as Chief of Security/Tactical Officer, why was he still in a red uniform?  Since he was 1st officer of the Defiant while stationed at DS9, does him remaining in a red uniform signify that he has command responsibilities in addition to security & tactical?

Hmm...I wonder that, too. At the end of DS9, I thought he was supposed to be the ambassador to the Klingons. Was he only there in Nemesis to attent the wedding ceremonies, or was he actually a member of the crew again? If he was an ambassador, he'd still be wearing the read, wouldn't he?

  8. But...  why would ya wanna watch that much tv? :wow:

Well, I actually only watch about 4 or 5 hours a week, and that's when I feel more like being a couch potato. It's just that the channels I want are only available with the 150 channel plan. There are some other interest educational channels, like from universities or NASA TV, that I'll occasionally watch since I have it.

  9. Without cable we only get 3 fuzzy channels, even with an antenna, so it's well worth the money to me. We get the basic package, about 75 channels. $40 a month.

About the same here reason here. Except I get 150 channels for $55 a month.

For me, the main channels I watch are only available on satellite/cable: TechTV, Cartoon Network, the various Discovery and History channels, and cable news. I do watch DS9 and Ent, which are on the local stations, but I have to use an antenna that we got with the satellite installation, to watch them.
