  1. I here by tip my hat to edmcgon. Well played.

I can't believe I lost a hockey pool to a guy from Georgia  , no offense. I just don't associate Georgia with hockey knowledge.

I can't say I blame you Jack. I don't either. However, I do know fantasy sports. I routinely do fantasy football. I have even done some baseball and basketball.

I would like to thank you all. One last thing:

You have been assimilated. Have a nice day!:laugh::rofl::rofl:

  2. Spock vs. Q

Has anyone heard this "audio book"? Here is a description:

As the end of the twentieth century nears, an asteroid is hurtling toward Earth. When it hits, the impact will result in the end of all life on the planet.

Ambassador Spock travels back in time to subtly warn Earth's inhabitants of impending doom while calling into question humanity's priorities. However, before the truth is told, the all-powerful being Q appears and reminds Spock that he is prohibited from interfering in Earth's history. Besides, Q doesn't see mankind as something worth saving.

This initial encounter between the two legendary characters explodes into a battle of wits as Spock cleverly befuddles Q with his own words. As barbs are exchanged, and humanity's flaws and wonders are laid bare, Spock's logic just may convince Q that humans are indeed a species worthy of salvation, but will he be too late?

Of course it features Nimoy and DeLancey. To use Spock's word, it sounds "fascinating".

  3. Megan Follows with George C. Scott in Inherit the Wind

Scott with Karl Malden in Patton

(and to steal the rest from TUH):

Karl Malden in Streets of San Francisco with Richard Hatch

RH guest star in McGuyver with Richard Dean Anderson

RDA in Stargate with guest start John Billingsley

    Hal Linden

  4. Ingredients:

1 kaiser roll with plenty of mayo

    1 grilled chicken breast

    2-3 slices of bacon

    1-2 slices of swiss cheese

    (optional) 1 slice tomato

    Basic, yet so very good.

If that is not available, I will settle for a ham and cheese with tomato & mayo (any kind of bread).

  5. But the episode remains in my mind as a reminder that sometimes even the best of us fall into situations we should have had the strength and foresight to avoid.  We are all only human.

This episode has always been a reminder to me that sometimes bad things happen to good people for a good reason.

  6. "City" is still the finest episode of Star Trek ever made. If you could only watch one episode of Trek in your lifetime, this would be it!

The acting was superb, even by TOS standards. Even Shatner had his best performance ever. The script was poignant.

This episode defined what was great about Trek, and about science fiction in general.

  7. I nominate Wesleychick. Nice to see how open-minded she is (or did she lose a bet to VBG?).

Believe it or not all this wesley stuff was my idea (except the name, that was VBG's idea) Figured I'd beat anyone else to the punch today. I have a few avs I like, I have to think about it before I choose.

I understand. Lost the bet and don't want to talk about it. No problem.
