  1. I've heard that term many times. Obviously none of us have seen this, so what does it mean, metapohricly,  Sorry, Weareborg for the big word

    Spelling police: metaphorically. :busted:

(sorry Jeanway, I could not resist)

On a literal level: Occasionally, space objects do collide, including planets. I have heard theories that our moon was formed from a collision between the Earth and another planet during the formation of our solar system.

On a "metaphoric" level: I am not familiar with this phrase being used other than on a literal level. However, I suspect the meaning would be something catastrophic.

  2. we could have killed him when clinton was in office but no he had to have an affair while Osama escaped..

first off the government has no place in the bedrooms of the nation that includes the leader of the nation.. and Bush knew of 9/11 and didnt act so doing point hte finger at clinton because it happened on bush's watch

Stoned, the CIA director said they didn't know. the FBI Director said they didn't know. the Presidential Security Briefing didn't include it. your statement that Bush knew is a load of ****.

I would also add that the Democrat's poster boy, Richard Clarke, said that even if the Bush administration had listened to his recommendations, there was no way they could have prevented 9/11.

  3. Both are starring in a made for tv movie on Scifi tonight Deep (something) 9:pm EDT.  Word of caution - some scifi originals are pretty decent - some are major stinkers.  I think Terry Farrell was in one before with one of the Hardy Boys??

    Anyway, if you're interested.

At least we know what Rikerchick will be watching tonight! :roflmao:

  4. Regarding Bin Laden's history, he comes from a wealthy Saudi family. They made their money in the construction industry (when oil money started to flow into Saudi Arabia, the construction industry boomed).

The last I heard, he is still worth over $200 million, although his family has allegedly disowned him.

  5. I don't know if it counts, but I saved my dog's life when I was a kid (I was about 12).

I had made the mistake of teaching Elizabeth, my dog, that she could walk on ice. Unfortunately, I did not teach her how thick the ice had to be.

There was this "open" sewer not too far from my house. I heard her howling and I found her with her front paws floating on a piece of ice in the sewer. I tried to pull her out, but I could not reach her. Yes, I had to go in. I was neck-deep in sewage (an experience I do NOT recommend), but I got her out.

I can honestly say I have never smelled worse in my life. :P

  6. The one and only thing that bugs me these days is the feeling someone is trying to take control of my mouse.  :(  Whoever you are, Please, you've proved your point, I grant you full bragging rights, please leave my familys PC in peace. PM me for a full apology for whatever I did to you if it'll help.

    AE,

You would not have this problem if you would just clean your mouse once in a while! :P

Back on topic: Trouble does not find me. I start it!

  7. What do I think of the Godfather 3? Wake me up when it's over.

The first two were classics, which made the 3rd one such a downer.

I can deal with a slow-paced film if it is well done, which this one wasn't.

Sophia Coppola does NOT belong in front of a camera. Period. With the emotional range of a rock, she is without a doubt the worst actress I have EVER seen. I have seen porn actresses with more acting ability than Sophia. :roflmao:

The truly sad part is that she was the best thing in the whole movie.

    Two thumbs way down. :eekout:
