SNL needs to leave network TV and go to cable. It shouldn't disappear altogether, simply because it's a place for up and coming comedians earn their wings, hone their craft, and find their niche, and it'd be a shame to lose such a convenient and effective career springboard (almost a rite of passage).

But network TV is not the place for these comedians to come up. They should start on cable, which has less draw than the networks.

But yeah, I stopped watching SNL back in the early 90s.

Years. After TNG ended its run, I never got into the later series, and so, I went years, until the reruns of TNG started up again.

I said Rightful Heir. Some dynamic acting from Dorn. Disappointing kind of ending, but for Worf, that ranks among the best performances.

Congrats to them. My mother is a fan of Alabama. I don't care for them all that much, but I am aware of their influence and popularity in the world of Country & Western music. A worthy act being inducted is always a good thing.

Where's the 'never' option? I never listen to Christmas songs. :) (Does anyone over here know the ever-annoying song 'Last Christmas' by 'Wham!'? Oh, I hate it. Songs like that are the reason why I never switch on the radio at this time of year :) )

hehehe. That song is pretty annoying. Christmas music over the last 25 years has been, shall we say, less than stellar. I swear if I hear one more faux-soul, adult-contemporary-pablum, "Oh baby I want/miss/love/kiss you this Christmas" type song, I'm gonna roast my chestnuts over an open fire, simply because it's bound to be less painful.
